HOLY SHIT...I had no idea there was more video to that show...I always remember Ed's solo video that has been floating around...but they got I'm the One and this song up there!

I like the old version better....nothing beats the recorded version of this song in my opinion...

The old version by leaps and bounds. Ed's playing is tight, fresh, and incredible. No comparison for me at all. I think he's very still very sloppy, obviously better than 2004, but nowhere near 1978.

The old one is better...but I don't think there is a huge difference. I'm not sure that Ed is being sloppy, or maybe he just physically can't do it like he used to. Clapton said recently in an interview that he has felt his hands and fingers lose it a bit with age. Ed is over 50 now. Who knows?

I agree 100%, Eddie is still somewhat sloppy with the solos especially, but it's not bad enough to really complain about at this point, given Ed's age and all the crap he's been through the last 10 years. He's WAY better than 2004 and still enjoyable to watch, but he's not old school Ed anymore, or even VH3-era Ed, and he never will be again.

They are playing very well for a nostalgic tour, but they can't reproduce what they did 30 years ago and nobody should expect them too.
