Default If Mike randomly shows up on the 07 tour...

Say one date on the tour the band says hey.... let's invite mike down to play one show or a few tunes for old times sake. What will be hilarious is seeing the fan reaction if that happened. It would be huge cuz it would finally be ALL original members and finally good bass playing and singing! There would be madness and honestly if that happened Dave and Eddie would be retarded to not let Mike back in the band, even just for the fans or whatever reasons. The fan reaction would blow them away and finally make them realize, maybe hey we are fuckin' dicks when it comes down to this mysterious Mike situation.

Pipe dream. I believe that Mike or Sam will never play with the bros. again. I see Sam being able to do it, but he won't without Mikey. For whatever reason, Mike has become a pariah to VH, which I don't get.

i think he should go to one show and get front center on ed's side and see what happens!!
I used to wonder why he was grinning all the time(Michael Ian Black talkin about EVH on VH1 I love the 80's) but then i realized the reason he's grinning is because he's Eddie F*#king Van Halen

they've had huge ticket sales without him, so ed will NOT invite mike back in... the general public is not too discriminating and are harping on seeing dave and ed together again and can live without mike... personally, i wish it were the original four, but it's just not going to happen, at least not on this tour...

I think Mike WILL be in VH once again. It's a manager's/PR guys wet dream with what's going on with the band right now. Tix are selling like hot cakes, and it's not even the original 4!!?? So, what happens when they DO get the original 4 back together?!? Exactly. As big as if not bigger than the Led Zep thing. And if you disagree with that, then why the hell is DLR back in VH?!?
Oldest rule in the sales/marketing book...You don't give people exactly what they want until you've reached the VERY end. I predict we will see a "full" VH tour in the next few years. Eddie, Alex, Dave, Mike AND Sam. They're building up to it...Re-establishing the legacy right now.
And for all you doubting Thomases out there...take a second and think about this...David Lee Roth is back in Van Halen again. I repeat...DAVID LEE ROTH is back in Van Halen....
"The music of Van Halen is vital."-David Lee Roth-1978

It's hard to say. It may really depend on what's in Wolfy's heart. He may, at the end of this tour, say "It was a blast but I want more, to be in my own deal, to step outside the shadow of the VH legacy" at which point I think Ed may reconsider.

Wolfgang is too young to make such a mature decision. He's a kid guys, he's getting his fame from someone else and he'll ride until he's old enough to know better.

He's not too young to make that kind of a decision, especially after doing a major tour.

I maintain my stance until the kid proves otherwise.

He's not just any kid. by 16 most boys have been through multiple bands in HS. Add to that that Wolfy has already been "famous" for being Ed's kid. Add to that that he's already got major tour under his belt. A 16 year is COMPLETELY capable of seeing that he's living in the shadow of something else if he chooses to see it that way. 16 is not too young.

If he randomly shows up, chances are it would happen at home (ie Chicago)

And guess who's going to both Chicago shows!?

    Nah, it'll never happen.

I think that was the father son talk/order Ed gave wolfy when he was younger.
