Just got back from the show and all I have to say is UNFUCKIN' BELIEVABLE!!!!! Great seat as I was sitting in 113 row 10. Perfect view of the stage and I did not have to look over anyone. Same set list as all previous shows. The only little thing Dave did not do was the Magic Bus line in Romeo Delight. He instead waited and said "Look at all the people here tonight!!!" Ed also wore camafloge pants. Ed used his number 4 Black Wolfie instead of the sunburst Wolfie and he used the black and white frankie in one of the songs. They had a little bit of a mix up with the sound in the early part of the show during the middle of one of the songs. I saw Ed go over to Dave and say something in his ear and Dave replied "I know" with a smile. I also saw Ed trying to get Wolfie to move around more. Wolfie came over to him at one point and Pops was telling him something in his ear. The whole show was amazing. Ed was right on and Dave was right on as well. Ed even said after Ice Cream Man "David Lee!!!" Backup vocals were good and Al was kick ass as usual. I used the Vater earplugs I picked up from Sam Ash last weekend. Those things are amazing. I pulled the plugs out for a song and it sounded very distorted but when I put them back in I could hear everything a lot clearer. Props to the dude in the percussion department for recommending them. My ears are not ringing either and I can here pretty good after the show. Well, one down and two more to go. I'm going to Jersey on 11/3 and then The Garden on 11/13. I can't wait.

    Default Vaters

Thanks for your review AJW. It's cool that it sounds like they're learning the ropes and feel for one another again as the tour progresses. In a month they may melt steel. Can't wait.

About those Vater earplugs...which model did you get? I did the old regular earplugs (cut 1/4 off) and I was like, why the fuck haven't I ever done this before? I'm definitely going to get some.

    Thanks again. So stoked.

LOL. How long before ear plugs are actual half earplugs and half stereo microphones?

amazing show.dont want to recount what you all have read numerous times, but they sounded as good or better then i have ever heard them including the early 80's.
a few observations- love eddie giving wolf a kiss-(any fathers out there can understand this) nice moment.
2 hours and 10 minutes- nice full concert.
they should use the ramp more often. by the way, it looks as though the point of the ramp is about row 14.
wolfie is very talented. i think his playing and the fact that he is a big boy, you forget that he is 16.- funny moment, when he does his"come on dave, give me a break"-his voice sounds so young.
i would move the song order around.
and that big box, next to ed that was blocking people's view, seemed to be removed.
drove over 2 hours from long island for this show and it was worth every minute
i live 2 minutes from the nassau coliseum but couldnt wait another month to see them.
    everyone enjoy the remaining shows!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Great show. I've seen VH 5 times and Dave solo twice. This blew them all away. Dave has the swagger back and Eddie was just on fire. Funny line from Dave in the middle of EWS. "Get off the fat dress and get on the mattress!" Classic!

Alright, I was there last nite, 2nd nite in Philly!!! Had a great time!!! Excellent song selection, but I agree with some that I would lose "I'll Wait" and lose little dreamer, take a deep cut and play "Hear about it later" and maybe "Simple Rhyme"....Stage is cool set up, wont blow you away, but I dont think thats the idea anyway...Sound was clear where I sat, Section 124, Row 9, Wolfie's side. But its way TOO FUCKING LOUD!!!!!LOL, LOL...Wear earplugs, I did, and I took them out for about 4 songs only, and my ears still were ringing a little. Dave was a master showman, voice was strong and clear. Eddie, what can you say, clean and sober, hit all the notes and just was AWESOME. Big AL, solid as always, and IMO, doesn't get enough respect from NON-VH fans as a GREAT drummer..Wolf, the kid can hold his own and I know he will grow into a seasoned entertainer and musician, and please dont shit on me for this, I missed MA. While yes I agree, Ed seems to be as happy as I've ever seen him playing w/Wolf and giving him a kiss on the cheek at the start of the show was great, MAs stage presence and playing is missed, IMO. That said, if you have never seen VH w/Dave, GO, GO, GO, you will have a GREAT TIME, and again, bring earplugs, . I am definately going again on 11/13 at MSG, cant wait. Overall, great great concert!!!

By the way, the t-shirts are way small. I purposely bought a size larger than I normally wear and it's still too small.

So I take it Wolfie said the line last night as recorded on the album? Instead of his previous: "Dave, give whoever it is you're talking about, give that guy a break"?
