you must have Van Halen confused with The Black Crowes

VH doesn't change their set list every night.

they play the same songs, in the same order, night after night after night. Even if they are burnt out on it and start fighting with each other.

    How can you say that?

In 2004 when they played consecutive shows at the same arena, they would always swap Jump and You Really Got Me on the second night, opening with YRGM and putting Jump in the first encore.

    Geeze, get your facts straight.

I was at the show last night, and took with me a copy of Thursday's set list. The two shows had the exact same setlist, and I would not expect to see much (if any) change over the course of the tour.

I plan on seeing a few more shows this tour, and would be perfectly fine with them keeping the same setlist --it was about as close as you can get to concert perfection in a 2.5 hour timeframe!

I wouldn't expect them to pull out any surprise songs at any point on this tour, unless Wolfie has learned the whole back catalogue.

I'm pretty sure they're going to be opening AND closing many of the shows with Sunday Afternoon in the Park.

Agreed, in fact, I have it on very good authority that they will be alternating opening and closing songs (ala 2004) between Sunday Afternoon in the Park and Big Bad Bill (Is Sweet William Now)...

Maybe they can throw Growth into the setlist. That would be cool.

Would be nice to see them change things up a little but honestly, it wouldn't make the people who care about this stuff happy enough, and it wouldn't make a difference to 98% of the fans who go to one show.

The Stones played around 70 different songs on this tour and their superfans STILL bitched about them not playing enough deep cuts or variety.

Let VH play 25 great songs a night, well. If they play a few different ones, hey great.

That will be fun! But, IMO... it is missing a few. The main one being "Me Wise Magic". Others are: "Feel Your Love", "Women In Love", "In a Simple Ryme".

IMO, they could lose "Pretty Woman", "Somebody Get Me a Doc", and "You Really Got Me".

But, that is a whole different thread!

Actually, Van Hagar did substitute Runnin with the Devil for Somebody Get Me a Doc once in Philly last tour, and I also believe they played Finish What Ya Started once also..

But the second one song on the setlist changes someone from this forum will be all over it so you will know
