Default Old Montrose stuff - 1973/1974!

Mooching around on YT, found these two old clips of Sam and Montrose back in 1973/1974 - jesus I was only 3-4yrs old then! Quality is a bit poop, but not too bad.

I'm the youngest in my family, born in 1970, but yeah I was influenced by whatever my brothers and sister listened too. I didn't really get "into" =VH= until the 80's but really got hooked on Sam in the late 80's. When I started to collect his back-catalogue it was then that I realised how much I'd already heard any knew. Hell I must have heard the first Montrose album as a 3yr old (there's 13yrs between me and my closest in age sibling, I wasn't an accident but a late choice!) but still that voice and sound was embeded in me.....

Not trying to de-rail the thread, but I must be the only one in the world who doesn't really dig Montrose, doesn't really think a helluva lot of Sam's time in VH, but man I really love a lot of his solo stuff.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Here is a positively smokin' version of BMS, which leads into a blues featuring some rather convincing playing by RM. Recorded live sometime in 1974, the track unfortunately cuts off near the end.

    Thanks for that chef.

Start to finish, I'll take the Classic 70's over any decade in rock.
