Where`s all the Bay Area boys and girls going to the Oakland show? Got my tickets today. Ahh , to think it`s been 27 yrs. since I first saw them in Oaktown on the 1980 Invasion Tour Or the following year when I saw them at the same venue for the Fair Warning tour Yeah I know , I`m old.

Section 110 , good seats but not great. Probably could have had better but I screwed up at first and was pushing #s on the phone for the San Jose show so that set me back about 1-2 mins.

To all my Bay Area brethren, have fun at Oak-town. I wish I was back home and able to see them in the arena that I saw so many great shows at. I'll be seeing them in Indy but my heart will be in the East Bay.

Right On , I bet we went to many of the same shows at the arena and stadium. Remember the "Day On The Green" shows?

Oh, I miss Day on the Greens. The most bizarre DOG bill was Foriegner/Loverboy/Scorpions/Iron Maiden. I was there for Maiden and the Scorps but stayed to watch half the Coliseum empty by the time Foreigner took the stage.

I got on first thing and the best I could do was section 105. I hate Ticketmaster with a passion.

Saw them at the Coliseum during the FW tour as well. Wishing I was gonna see them again. The memories are nice.

Have a great time at the show guys and try to remember not to get too wasted so that you'll remember the show. Who knows when they'll ever tour again?

Took the plunge and got some floor seats - surprisingly through TM. I was banging away right at 10am to get them though.

Being a Saturday show, I'm most likely going to be up in the City early and then bart'ing over to keep my drunk ass off the road on the way home. Any pre-show venue ideas welcome!

You know Ted, I've been living here for about 18 years now and I am really not a city dweller. I do check out the city regularly but mainly for Giant games and work conferences. I know there are several other guys on the board who live there and are probably more in touch with the cool stuff happening there but SF is pretty diverse in activities so I don't think you will have trouble finding something to do. So many theatres, museums, restaurants and various nightclubs worth checking out ...

    Hey Uncle Ted:
The City has so much to offer but I took a friend of mine visiting from Rio to Muir Woods which is in Marin County, north of SF across the Golden Gate Bridge. Beautiful giant redwood trees and a nice drive out to the coast. Plus, you get to cross the Golden Gate which most of us locals take for granted but, as I was reminded by my friend, it is to SF what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris.

If you are into historical things, there is the North Beach area that is known, for amongst other things, being the epicenter of the SF Poetry Renaissance (Allen Ginsberg, Gary Snyder). You'll find City Lights Book Store which was made famous by the "Beat" poets.

Have fun. I lived in/around SF for most of my life and only recently had to move away due to my work. I miss the Bay Area and truly appreciate all that I took for granted. I hope you enjoy your time there.

Hey man! Shoot me a PM. I've been living in the City for over 7 years and have this city dialed. Let me know some things you are looking to do and we can chat about it.
