    Default Live recording likely?

    What do you think?
If all the guys are solid and the songs are tight...
What's the likelihood of a live DVD or CD from this tour?
I sure would love to see it.
Good, quality, beefy soundboard recording... mixed and mastered...
    Sweet!
    Think it'll happen?

well they've proved us wrong so far by handling the hyping of this tour a lot better than they did in '04... and the rehearsal performances appear to show ed is in a much better head space right now, so i wouldn't rule it out... i wonder if they would go the route of pearl jam, metallica, the who and genesis where every show is made commercially available, with the last two bands offer special limited numbered sets in road case like boxes...

i wish they would do what queen does and raid the vault every now and again and release an old specific popular show that was captured cleanly...

Dude, a deal like Pearl Jam would be sooo sweet!
What would all the hardworking bootleggers do with their time, though? Heh.

If the shows are good(and from what I've heard its shaping up to be that way)then it would be a blown opportunity not to release a live recording/DVD of the tour.

it makes a pain in the a$$ for those who are normally completists...

i also forgot that a lot of other artists did that through the i believe now-defunct "instant live", including kiss and the black crowes...

It makes a lot of sense from their perspective in terms of $ and publicity. And it would also be great for fans. Seems like a smart move. So they most likely won't do it.

VH put out a live album with Hagar, it's now time to put one out with Diamond Dave. Live, Right Here, Right Now charted pretty high and went 2X platinum. Maybe a album that is mixed well with Dave could go platinum.

now that i think about it, they would be more likely to release one from this tour rather than an old show in an attempt to shut out "sobolewski"

just hope Dave decides to sing at least SOME of the songs true to the original recording...

i mean, HE might be bored of singin them the same way with his Hillbilly band and with his solo band mates, but gawd, the singing in Jump and Hot for teacher in that 5 minute rehearsal compilation was so wack
anyone willing to help out an Aussie and his wife who are goin to the USA to watch shows in Oakland and Anaheim.

    For What It's Worth:

Don't know if anyone has noticed this yet and I didn't want to start a meaningless thread. While on YouTube watching the Panama rehearsal video and reading some of the comments, I found a comment from a YouTube user named CINEGroupEast.

Their comment was "We'll be the film crew for their opening night in Charlotte NC.". I clicked on their name and on their YouTube page it says "CINE Group East specializes in concert filmography and videography in 16mm, super 16mm, 35mm and HDTV."

Hopefully these professionally shot dates will leak onto the internet, rather than someone's cell phone video shots.

    Default If they film . . .

I hope that it is later in the tour. The RHRN in Fresno was pretty close to the last show of the FUCK tour. The film company would need several shows to check lighting, camera angles, and how the band moves (or doesn't) on stage. I just hope that they don't overmix it like RHRN. I can't stand to watch it. It makes me sea sick.
I don't have a cool signature. Deal with it!

I think a dvd would sell great. Many people are interested in the tour but might want to pay the money or have other reasons. I know I was on the fence about going to Heaven and Hell but decided just to get the dvd.
