looks awesome! How does it play? Is it routed or is the back of the bridge really that close to the body? Does it stay in tune well? Dammit...I want a new toy...
EDIT: And the pickups, how are they? I've been thinking of grabbing an ibanez or a jackson, or some shreddylike axe. Just can't decide on one.

I haven't been keeping up on Ibanez models. How is this one? Do you like it? Where was it made?

I bought an Ibanez R540 back in 1993, and it was my main guitar for a couple of years. It doesn't really fit me at all anymore, but I've never gotten rid of it for one big reason: the pickups. They're DiMarzio, and they sound amazing. That guitar still makes the occasional appearance on recordings.

    Congrats on the new axe!

it plays pretty good, although all i had was a $100 silvertone to compare to so its good, and it is routed for the bridge,so far its staying in tune(a whole lot better than that silvertone)

Yeah, its always fun taking the next step up from a starter guitar. Even with heavy trem use its staying good? That would be awesome if it did. I looked it up on mf, and its not too deadly on the wallet (compared to the high end stuff these days)

Can't go wrong with an RG (if that's what you're looking for). They make em a lot nicer now than when I was lookin at em.
