Default Which tour would go see and why?

I hope this belongs in this area, if not please move to appropriate location. Anyways, I've read countless posts here recently about this tour and differences from a lot of people involving why some people are/are not going to this tour. I have heard some people even say they'll just go see the Other Half over this current VH tour due to Mike not being part of it or it not being a real reunion. My question here is this, if you would go to The Other Half over this tour...why? VH did state during thier p.c. that this is not a reunion ,but a new band. That being the case, why boycott? Going to see The Other Half is only seeing 1 CVH member w/Sam and seeing stuff you have seen many times, while VH's tour is something you have'nt seen in 20yrs w/3 of the original members. I agree the way Mike was dismissed totally sucked, I mean REALLY sucked, but it is what it is. I'm going to this tour and The Other Half cause I'm a fan...period. This thread is done with respect to all people's opinions and no biased against those not going for whatever thier reasons, just wanna see VH fans have the best possible time and have fun. Ok...trash away!!
Ya lollygag around around the infield, ya lollygag down to 1st, ya lollygag in and out of the dugout...ya know what that makes you?...LARRRY!!?......... .LOLLYGAGGERS!! lollygagers... -Bull Durham

I would truly like to see both this fall, but it ain't in the budget, so I am going with VH.

The Wabos will come around again, they are a fully functioning unit. No guarantee that VH will ever do this again.

Also, the report from Scott Ian of Anthrax has got me excited for the show. Maybe he is full of it, but when a professional musician says he got ear-boners from listening to them, I take that as a positive.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

I'm going to Sammy and Mike in November. I've got three sets of VH tickets so far, probably more to come. If I had to choose one, I'd go to Van Halen. Sammy is great. Van Halen are legends.

    That's easy! VH for sure.

Ed grudger's are about the only ones that wouldn't pick VH and go see Mike...

I would choose Jagger/Richards over a Wyman show or a Townsend/Daltry show over an Entwistle show....(I know they're no longer with us,just an example)

Can I ask a question: Does it feel different being rich?

Outside of Sammy's solo act, both Van Halen and The Other Half are "greatest hits" bands. Mike's act while interesting with him singing lead, is nothing more than a "greatest hits" band. So politics aside, the choice is seeing 3/4's of a group play their greatest hits or 1/2 of a group play theirs.

While there is some unknown with Eddie, Dave and Wolfgang, they hold the "nuts" with the set list.

Sammy has some of the worst solo music on the planet, hands down. When he joined VH, he drug Ed's playing to it's lowest lvl and made their music crap. I'm pretty sure he's an ok guy, if you want your lawn cut and swimming pool cleaned, but honestly, Hagar would have been a small footnote in the music world if he was never in VH, and that includes his stint in Montrose as well.

So why would anyone want to go one of his show's is beyond me.

New bands create new music. Don't buy that this is a new band until they release new music. This is a nostalgia tour minus one memeber that is willing and ready to play but to be fired so that a pimpled face hs kid can perform

sigh......doesn't it ever get old? It's gotta wear itself out sooner or later doesn't it? It's been how many years now and the same thing over and over again.
