Default Anyone have a senior quote that included Van Halen?

Hey guys just wondering if anyone else, when it came time for senior quotes in the yearbook had something to say about Van Halen? In Valley Christian High School Yearbook Class of 2002, there it is "God Bless Eddie Van Halen"...anyone else?

How old are you, Laing? I graduated from high school in 1993, and to think back that far now makes my brain hurt. I guess I could go dig out the yearbook, but... meh.

And to many on this board, 1993 is going to sound quite recent!

I'm sure my yearbook did - I graduated in 1985 from James Madison Senior High School in San Diego - arch rival of Clairemont High a few miles away where Cameron Crowe went undercover in 1979 and was inspired to write "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Like anyone cares.

Now, if only I could find my yearbooks.

Btw, my senior yearbook had "Ice Cream Man" embossed on the cover instead of my name because I worked at Baskin-Robbins throughout high school and was known for my love of VH and handing out a few thousand ice cream cones to friends. Could have had worse nicknames.

Most of my senior year (1984) is lost in a chemically induced haze (and I don't say that with pride). One thing I do remember is having a disagreement with the editor of our high-school newspaper over my glowing review of VH's 1984, which followed a scathing review I gave for the Duran Duran album from that year (title lost in the haze). She accussed me of being too "heavy metal-biased". Of course, she was right.

Graduated in '89...And I "totally" used "Fast Times..." as my influence and said that I was having a HUGE graduation party and that I was hiring Van Halen to play it...lol.
That was about 8 months after I saw them for the first time on the "OU812" tour, and man was I friggin' obsessed...Don't get me wrong, I still am. But senior year was definitely a "VAN HALEN" year!

My favorite song was noted as "AFU", and all the guys that I was in bands with praised my insatiable love for the mighty VH all over my yearbook. I remember one guy wrote "VIVA VH", with the \m/ \m/ and the "VH" logo drawn throughout.

In my senior year book (class of 1989) they did a poll of favorite bands, and Van Halen was #1. I don't remember any such poll ever being taken however.

We had almost 900 seniors at my school in 89.
Quotes were not even thought of there....although it would have been cool.

Concord High School(Concord NH) class of 1990. I think there were VH quotes all over my yearbook as many of my friends were VH fans. In fact the guys I do a VH tribute with were all high school friends of mine so we share a great bond when we tribute the music. I can remember the singer and I did a lyp sync to the live without a net version of 5150 when we were in the 9th grade. It blew my mind because we just gigged in old orchard beach ME. and we did that song for real. Boy that brings back great VH memories.

The singer and I saw VH together for the first time in 1986 and I have seen every tour since then.(present one excluded). Doing the tribute mix of Roth and Hagar is so much fun and it totally brings us all back to high school when we cruised around in our cars and cranked VH probobly looking like complete asses! We did'nt care.

A friend of mine wrote about going to see some real bands during the summer (1989), like Van Halen. He wrote it in the shape of "U2 SUCKS". LOL Gotta' love Jack.
