Default Who's under the most pressure over the coarse of the next year?

The next year should be intersting for everyone involved in the VH camp but who's really under the most pressure over the coarse of the next year?

I'm thinking I will be under a lot of pressure. Lot's coming up in my life...oh wait, this isn't about me...
One noticeable difference between Judas Priest and Metallica...
...Judas Priest only has one gay guy in the band.

IMO it's the whole Band which stands in the Spotlight.

DAVE -> Does he live up to his flamboyant Exposure he brought to the Stage back in the Day? Does he get along with the Band, the Press, the Media, the Fans?

ED -> His name stands for the Band. Will his Mood be good? Will he be proud of the Things coming up?

AL -> Will there be a certain musical Harmony with his Nephew? Can he still smoke down Things like Hot for Teacher?

WOLFIE -> Will the Fans accept him? Can the Boy move the Picture and keep the Machine running?

If you answer all these Questions with YES after the first or two Shows, then this One will be GREAT. If one of these falls out of the Place, then we're gonne get another Showbiz - Waterloo.

Of course that was my first thought, too. But then again, not to be coarse about it but, they're closer to the end of their careers than the beginning.

So I'm changing my answer to Wolfgang. He's got his whole life in front of him and a major public screwup at age 16 could damage him for a long while.

Agreed, yet only for the next year, as the thread title implies. I honestly believe the task of holding down his end of the stage, while seen to be replacing a fan favorite is a burden that no 16 year old kid should need to shoulder.

However, in the long run after the dust has settled, if there indeed is a failure on his part, he will get a pass by the public. Whatever blame for any such failure will ultimately be put upon Ed Van Halen for instigating the situation in the first place.

I'm not insinuating such a "failure" will even take place, mind you. Yet a realist must accept the random possibility of such a thing occurring.

not even close. It's Ed. If he's the 2004 Ed this tour will be a mess. If he's good, it's got a chance.

Ed. If Wolfgang fails, I'm sure he'll be damaged but Ed is the reason for putting him in that situation. If the tour fails, whether by factors controlled or uncontrolled by EVH, it will fall on his shoulders.

This really is Ed's last shot for credibility.

I hope that, no matter what the circumstances, Wolfgang isn't a target by fans or critics.

Agreed. I got to imagine, with his dad's susbstance abuse issues, life has been hard this past year anyways.
