    Default Kansas City

One of my friends, who was gonna attend this show with me, was saying that they may not put on the show there. Im not sure which arena they are playing in, but if it is the Verizon arena (i think it is called), he said it is getting shutdown because of contract issues. So other bands are having to cancel shows there even though they are already billed.

    Is this true?

If you mean the Sprint Center, I doubt it.

This is a new venue, scheduled to have Elton John as the grand opening act, and from what I've been reading, everything is on track for all shows.
"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."

"This is a lttle prayer dedicated to the separation of church and state. I guess if they are going to force those kids to pray in schools they might as well have a nice prayer like this: Our Father who art in heaven, and to the republic for which it stands, thy kingdom come, one nation indivisible as in heaven, give us this day as we forgive those who so proudly we hail. Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

Tickets aren't selling well for K.C. ...plenty left on Ticketmaster. Better tell your friends and neighbors to buy some more to prevent a cancellation

The venue isn't experiencing any problems, and the show is still planned to happen.

That said, tickets are NOT selling well. Only the nosebleeds seem to be selling.

really? when I checked yesterday, the $49.50 and $79.50 tickets were gone and all that was left was the lower level in the back, not even a single was available anywhere else

I'm not sure what people are looking at. I bought KC tickets the day the went on sale and the top two levels sold out that day. Only seats left are first level up, way in the back.

Got my crappy 150 seats, thanks for keeping the fans in mind VH!
Yes we have a large group so they are well back in the curve. But I would have never thought I'd be paying 150 for these tkts. They better be D*&# outstanding for this.

Verizon Wireless (formerly Sandstone) Ampitheater is the actual venue in question. Live Nation (the venue's current promoter) has stated that they will no longer promote shows there, and that this may be the last year that the venue will actually host concerts and events. Management states otherwise, but that's another thread for another day.

Van Halen will be playing the Sprint Center on October 26th, which is the new arena currently being built in downtown Kansas City, MO. It, along with Kemper Arena, are currently, and will remain, venues where events will be promoted by Live Nation.

To answer your question, no, the Van Halen tour stop in KC is not in jeopardy. It will most definitely go on as planned.

The only tix available are the $149.50 tix. The 49.50 and 79.50 are all sold out. I'm sure that a lot of the average fans would buy up the less expensive tixs first. Some people are saving anywhere from $120 or more dollars to go to the show by buying the less expensive tix.
