Default Who were the players on "High hopes"?

I should know this answer, but cant quite remember. I remember an old "Metal edge" where Sammy spoke about the musicians on "High Hopes". I've got a feeling David Lauser was on there, but not quite sure. Can anyone help me on this?
Does anyone remember Sammy performing this on "Letterman" with the Paul Schaeffer band, I thought it was ok, but it was cut short.
What is understood need not be discussed

"Dont disturb my paradise. I've asked you once. I've asked you nice" - "SERIOUS JU JU"

"I am in a blissful state. Dont bug me!!!" - Richard Dreyfuss "The Goodbye girl" 1977

I don't know the performers on the song. Lauser makes sense.

I remember the Letterman segment. Ironically, I think I caught Letterman that night after a David Lee Roth concert (a horrible show from the Filthy Little Mouth tour). The song was cut short. I think it ended with a real quick outro after the solo. I also remember Sammy playing a EBMM.

I can tell you for sure it was David Lauser on drums (for both HH and the other new song on Unboxed). I have no idea who the bassist was.

I watched the Letterman HH performance the night it first aired, and I found it on YouTube once a while back. Sammy was playing an EBMM and a 5150. I couldn't find the clip just now, but I did find this:

from what I unerstand Bill and Sammy didn't get along really well after Sammy broke up his solo band for the whole VH thing, I remember Sam saying him and bill had issues up until they got together to record Leaving the Warmth of the Womb for MTM.

Actually it was Denny Carnissi on drums for High Hopes. 97% sure.

I'm still sayin' Lauser, I'm all but positive. It's Carmassi, by the way. I'll have to check the liner notes next time I'm home.

I checked the liner notes for both Unboxed and The Essential Red Collection, and neither say who played on HH.

I remember that the song got quite a bit of radio play when it came out.

I thought that the other new song on that album, "Buying My Way into Heaven," was really awful.

I thought Jesse just played on a couple tracks of Eat 'Em and Smile (?). He was brought in because Ted Templeman had worked with him before (and perhaps knew he needed the work). I don't believe he was ever actually in the band--just studio work.

I think you're right. I don't know how many tracks he played on Eat 'Em and Smile, but he played on it. He's listed as the only keyboardist on the album, so I suppose he played all the keyboards.

After him, it was Brett Tuggle on the keys for DLR through A Little Ain't Enough.
