Default Van Halen Tour gets a major sponsor

Looks like tour is still on and companies are wanting to spend money sponsoring it...

ahhh, the world of corporate sponsorship...so refreshing...maybe a cheaper way to get 5 star passes!

I would believe this is a good sign that things are ok with the band at this point.

No sponsor would dump money without doing a due diligence that everything is ok and the tour (especially with this bands history) should go as planned.

So I say this is good news!

Come on, these are poor straving/struggling musicians trying to make ends meet. Besides, Ed's gotta pay for that face work he's had done. Christ, the pic on the front page makes him look like Kenny Rogers.

I'd like to think Citi did some research before putting money into this, but they probably didn't. I'm sure they have 25 escape clauses in case the tour falls apart, along with specific provisions that Dave just has to 'happen' to throw in some seemingly off-the-cuff remark about needing to go to a Citibank ATM after the show. This joke will of course be repeated 'spontaneously' at all 50 dates of the tour.

If you don't believe me, anyone on here who has ever been to Ozzfest or another tour with heavy sponsors knows that EVERY band mentions the FYE tent.

Also, I'm sure the ad money is insured and re-insured. Citibank won't lose a dime if this falls apart.

But, yes this is a good sign in the sense that they THINK the tour is going to do very well and that it is worth such a big ad campaign.
