Default North American Union: Fact or Fiction?

    NAFTA Super Highway
Quietly, the Bush Administration is working to advance a plan to build super highways through the heart of the United States to transport goods from Mexico and Canada. The highways are part of the original North American Free Trade Agreement, (NAFTA). The plan is now being advanced through an operation called “North America’s Super Corridor Coalition, Inc” (NASCO). Since being exposed to the general public, NASCO is now denying it is building the highways, but plans go forward.

The Super Transnational System includes multiple lanes for cars and trucks. Plans call for a ten lane, limited access highway to parallel I-35. It will have three lanes each way for passenger cars, two express lanes each way for trucks. Mexican and Canadian cars and trucks will be allowed to travel the highway, over the U.S. border with no inspections. The highway will also carry rail lines plus a utility corridor for oil and natural gas pipelines, electric towers, cables for communications and telephone lines. Speed limits will be relaxed as well as safety inspections for vehicles from Mexico and Canada. Trucks will be allowed to carry extra tonnage and be extra long. A Railway system will travel up the center of the highway, allowing Mexican rail road companies to enter the U.S. and travel up the highway.

Several such highways are contemplated. Environmental impact studies have already been completed. In Texas, efforts are already underway as 584,000 acres of privately owned land have been targets for takings through Eminent Domain. It is estimated that at least one million American citizens will be displaced from their homes to build the corridor.

The “Amero,” Merging U.S., Canadian and Mexican Currencies
Though it will take some years to finalize, plans are being laid to create a new currency for the coming North American Union, much like the Euro replaced the currencies of individual countries of the European Union. The Amero would replace the U.S. Dollar, Peso and Canadian Dollar.

The plan has been specifically promoted through Dr. Pastor’s book, the blueprint for the rest of the SPP plan, and now may be officially moving through the establishment of a new SPP effort called the “Financial Services Work Group.” To date, it is too early to tell exactly when such a change would move forward, but it is being discussed in high places.

Of course the SPP and the Bush Administration denies that there is even discussion of such a currency. However, on April, 6, 2006, the SPP announced the formation of the Financial Services Working Group. According to its own news release, the Financial Group will focus on “enhancing processes for addressing banking, securities and insurance issues.” It goes on to say, “U.S. financial regulatory agencies will play a critical role in the SPP.”
In truth, the SPP is being put into place incrementally. It will take years before everything is in final order. It took the European Union several years to create the Euro. However, the guiding documents from Dr. Pastor’s book and the CFR report each call for the creation of a North American currency. It is obvious, if one dissects the bureaucratic language of SPP documents, in order to reach its goal to “reduce the cost of trade, combat counterfeiting and facilitate trade,” among the three nations trying to act as one, the drive for a single currency will certainly become necessary.

Foreign Companies Buying U.S. Roads & Bridges
On Jan. 25, 2005, the city of Chicago leased the 7.8-mile Chicago Skyway to the Australian-Spanish consortium Macquarie-Cintra for 99 years in exchange for $1.83 billion. The Skyway links I-90 from the Toll Road at the Illinois-Indiana state line to the Dan Ryan Expressway in the Loop.

(AP) WASHINGTON Roads and bridges built by U.S. taxpayers are starting to be sold off, and so far foreign-owned companies are doing the buying.

On a single day in June, an Australian-Spanish partnership paid $3.8 billion to lease the Indiana Toll Road. An Australian company bought a 99-year lease on Virginia's Pocahontas Parkway, and Texas officials decided to let a Spanish-American partnership build and run a toll road from Austin to Seguin for 50 years.

Few people know that the tolls from the U.S. side of the tunnel between Detroit and Windsor, Canada, go to a subsidiary of an Australian company -- which also owns a bridge in Alabama.

San Antonio-based Zachry Construction Co., along with Cintra, received approval on June 29 for a 50-year lease to build and run a toll road from Austin to Seguin for $1.3 billion.

That is part of Texas Gov. Rick Perry's vision to attract more than $80 billion in private funds for roads by 2030. He wants a new tollway from Oklahoma to Mexico and the Gulf Coast, and one from Shreveport, La., and Texarkana to Mexico. Cintra-Zachry reached a $7.2 billion deal last year to develop the project's first phase.

Not everyone in Texas buys the idea. Harris County officials recently voted against selling three toll roads. Also, independent gubernatorial candidate Carole Keeton Strayhorn opposes Perry's toll road plan.

"Texas freeways belong to Texans, not foreign companies," she said.

A new government for North America
Many Americans simply do not believe that the United States would voluntarily give up its sovereignty to a North American Union. Those who think this way somehow believe that there will be a vote of the American people to decide.

It is little understood that such actions are done incrementally, behind closed doors, until the plans are so far along that stopping them becomes nearly impossible. The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was sold as simply a way for American producers to broaden their markets. So too, was the European Union sold to the proud, ancient nations of that continent. Today, a new, socialist government rules them, complete with a ruling body, a new currency, a tax system, court system and a defense system -- all the ingredients necessary for a government.

Operating in secret, SPP working groups are efficiently laying the groundwork for the destruction of the United States of America as an independent, sovereign nation. Once the North American Union is in place, we will then have to compromise our very unique nation of protected freedoms with the socialist nations of Mexico and Canada, where property rights, justice, economics and natural rights are not necessarily recognized. Government decides.

The Security and Prosperity Partnership is about neither. It is not a plan to simply help sell American goods to larger markets. It is not a plan to help keep our nation safer in a security partnership with Mexico and Canada. Shutting our borders, not opening them, would do far more to accomplish that goal. The SPP is about creating a continental government which would eventually contain its own court system, its own ability to collect taxes (including some sort of military or police ability) and its own currency.
The SPP is an invasion of our culture and our economy. It’s about the redistribution of American wealth and industry. It will represent the end of over 250 years of an historic experiment in freedom – unless Americans across the nation say no – now.

New Union With Canada And Mexico: Open Borders For US

The Security and Prosperity Partnership between Canada, Mexico and the U.S. is underway at this moment. Why such a massive international cooperative trade program has not been promoted by our
government, may seem a mystery. It is touted as an arrangement to "increase security and enhance prosperity" through "greater cooperation and information sharing."

Why so little fanfare if it's such a great thing? When studied, the program appears to be the United States' official launch into socialism, recognizing the common thread, "the rich get richer."

The "program" was supposedly launched in March of 2005. The U.S. Department of Commerce describes it as a "White House-driven initiative" and goes on to claim "The SPP recognizes that our three great nations are bound by a shared belief in freedom, economic opportunity, and strong
    democratic institutions."

Everyone paying attention, particularly Mexicans, understand the Mexican government and economic system are utterly corrupt and bankrupt, respectively. Credible studies conservatively estimate payoffs
and mordida amount to ten percent of the Mexican Gross Domestic Product. "Freedom" is unlikely one of the first things an average Mexican would list as a benefit of citizenship.

Canada is a bastion of socialism, largely controlled by the electorate in eastern, major metropolitan areas. Canadian citizens in remote areas of the west are legislatively subdued by socialist liberals in the big cities. For instance, the French-speaking body politic in French Canada have outlawed handguns nationwide. The English-speaking natives living in the primitive areas of British Columbia, replete with brown bears--the western hemisphere's most vicious and deadly wild animal--are prohibited from
carrying a pistol on their hip while working in the bush.

Both the Mexican and Canadian economies rely, primarily, on the U.S. for trade and economic stability. They are, according to the U.S. Government Energy Information Administration, our top suppliers of oil. The population of the U.S. is approximately 298 million. The combined populations of Canada and Mexico total approximately 129 million, not half that of the U.S. How will a union with two nations, one morally bankrupt and each possessing poorly-performing currency systems, advance the U.S.?

It probably won't. Observers and experts predict this "union," or "partnership," will not only dissolve U.S. sovereignty, but destroy our domestic shipping industries, redistribute our middle-class wealth and eliminate what we now consider border security.

A stated goal of the SPP is to:
    SECURITY AGENDA
    3) Further streamline the secure movement of low-risk traffic across
    our shared borders

Develop and implement a border facilitation strategy to build capacity and improve the legitimate flow of people and cargo at ports of entry within North America.

Identify, develop, and deploy new technologies to advance our shared security goals and promote the legitimate flow of people and goods across our borders.

A strategic goal of the SPP is to ease restrictions on transport of goods. The U.S. being the primary consumer within the union, it is no mystery who the "goods" are headed for. The SPP intends to diminish, or eliminate, security at U.S. borders, preferring a "perimeter" around the three nations.

By eliminating U.S. border checkpoints, the SPP will "streamline" the flow of goods and human traffic by avoiding U.S. Ports Of Entry (ports)--thereby subverting U.S. homeland security--avoiding use of U.S. labor
(Teamsters and Longshoremen's unions) and creating an ultra-highway system running from deep in Mexico, through the U.S., and well into Canada.

The initial leg of this highway system is already underway in South Texas. Cintra-Macquarie, a joint venture between Spanish and Australian companies, has not only secured contracts to construct the U.S.-Mexico stretch of international tollway, but is actively acquiring billions of dollars and thousands of miles of toll roads throughout the U.S. The flow of traffic through the countries will not be controlled by the "union," but overseas organizations.

The map above delineates the current plan for the ultra structure. Wiith the creation of "Inland Ports" at Kelly USA in San Antonio, TX, Alliance, TX, Kansas City, KS and Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the North
American Inland Ports Network (NAIPN), a working group of North America's SuperCorridor Coalition (NASCO), intends to:

*"...facilitate and process international trade through strategic investment in multi-modal transportation assets and by promoting value-added services as goods move through the supply chain."

*improve "...the efficiency of International Commerce throughout the Mid-Continent. NAIPN increases trade flow with the Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Russia, and Europe."

NAIPN describes Inland Ports as such:

"An Inland Port is a site located away from traditional land, air and coastal borders with the vision to facilitate and process international trade through strategic investment in multi-modal transportation assets and by promoting value-added services as goods move through the supply chain."

The SPP, through NASCO and NAIPN, is redefining our transit, import, export, inspection and distribution networks, at the hands of foreign interests. Goods will be flown into the U.S., directly into the heartland, rather than being stopped and checked at our existing borders. Goods brought in via the "Mid-Continent Trade and Transportation Corridor" will not be checked as they enter the U.S. Rather, they will be "inspected" as they enter Mexican ports, then shipped overland within the prosperity union.

Growing Mainstream Opposition to a North American Union: Secretive Meeting In Canada Has Raised Concerns

For years the issue of a deliberate erosion of the United States government into a global government was relegated to conspiracy theorists on the Left and Right. The claim was that the first step toward an unelected global government was to integrate Canada, Mexico, and the United States into a North American Union through unfettered immigration (legal and illegal) trade deals such as NAFTA, etc.

The idea that the Executive Branch of government with the silent cooperation of powerful members of congress would unconstitutionally surrender the basic right of U.S. citizens to self government seemed ridiculous to the mainstream.

That notion was cast aside when CNN’s Lou Dobbs spoke out in September of 2006 recorded in the You Tube video below warning of plans for integrating Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Dobbs also calls for a federal investigation and has been critical that no congressional debate or authorization for the so-called Security and Prosperity Partnership or its recommendations has occurred.

Also, depicted in the video, is Texas Congressman, and now Presidential candidate, Ron Paul, speaking to the unconstitutionality of the Executive branch of government’s actions. Republican presidential candidates Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo have also spoken against the North American Union at recent campaign events.

The issue of Global governance was even promoted by Democratic presidential candidate Bill Richardson, an open borders advocate, in the recent CNN You/Tube debate, although he did not mention the North American Union by name.

The Security and Prosperity Partnership was created in Waco Texas in 2005 by heads of state of Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The proponents of the commonly called North American Union even have a website, http://www.spp.gov/ that promotes their agenda in a more positive light but the website doesn’t seem to address the apparent unconstitutionality and illegitimacy of their attempts.

The U.S. congress has not authorized the proposed plans and although president Bush has dismissed the notion of a North American Union it seems that the Executive branch t is promoting it.

The heads of state of Canada, Mexico, and the United State met previously in Cancun Mexico, allegedly to push the North American Union agenda forward. The leaders are reportedly meeting again in Canada on August 21-22nd to continue with their agenda.

Most Americans are totally unaware of a North American Union. This may be due to lack of media coverage and a deafening silence from Congress on what some see as a major step to the elimination of representative government in the U.S.

The so called Security and Prosperity Partnership recommends the free flows of goods and people across borders. This coming at the same time that the U.S. is involved in a war against terrorism raises the concern that it may leave the U.S. open to nuclear, chemical, or biological attack.

Critics of the North American Union claim that multinational unelected organizations would supersede institutions such as the U.S. Supreme Court and relegate the U.S. congress to the modern equivalent of the Roman Senate, more of a tradition than a form of representative government.

Movement toward a North American Union appears to be a bipartisan effort spearheaded by president Bush Sr. and continued when President Clinton signed NAFTA into legislation and now apparently being promoted by President George W. Bush at all costs.

The U.S. government has added new states into the republic in each century of its existence affording its citizens equal rights and constitutional protections outlined by the Bill of Rights by following legal procedures to add new territories into the Union.

The current attempts of and American Union are unique in that they are not expanding republican form of government by adding states to the union, instead they appear to be designed to dissolve the United States.

This more recent video of Lou Dobbs interviewing Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy In Media reveals information of plans to create a North American Union legal system to supersede U.S. courts. Kincaid and other have argued that China, now in control of the Panama Canal, is taking advantage of what they see as obvious vulnerabilities presented by a North American Union and in fact is a power broker behind the Union as argued in his article entitled Selling America to Communist China - July 23, 2007 .

Opponents of the ‘North American Union’ warn that the August 21-22nd meeting in Canada will offer new recommendations to speed up the process of integration.

Unfortunately, Ron Paul (as a right wing Libertarian) is also against any government regulation of business, and under-regulated corporatism (some existing laws NOT being enforced, and Bush courts undoing other existing laws) is EXACTLY how we got into this nightmare to begin with.

If it were up to me, I'd elect two Presidents.

Ron Paul for foreign policy, Dennis Kucinich for domestic stuff.
