Default I know it sounds wierd but; can I get some James Taylor help?

A few years ago I heard a repeat of James Taylor playing Woodstock acoustically on Howard Stern. I heard it again a couple of times the other day since Stern's on vacation for the 20th week this year.

I'm into Metallica, Guns n Roses, Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam. James Taylor isn't my typical thing. Bottom line, it sounded like magic to me. I'm hoping someone has ripped that audio from that performance. I'm having no luck finding it so far. Any help will be appreciated. Either way, if you have a chance, try to check it out somewhere. It should make your day better.

I never appreciated JT at all until I heard his double live CD from 1993, simply titled "LIVE". It changed the way I listen to music, and opened the door for me in terms of expanding my musical tastes. In other words, it's damn good.

Saw him live in '02, I think, and it was almost an identical show, which was a a bit of a disappointment, really.

Can't help you though, wish I could.

Man, "Just yesterday morning, they let me know you were gone. Suzanne the plans we made put an end to you." is one of the greatest first lines in the rich music lexicon. Does Joni Mitchell's original recording of "Woodstock" do anything for you?

Don't ever apologize for liking James Taylor brother.

    He is a phenomenal songwriter.

Man people, you don't have to defend the "rock faith" to the exclusion of other types of music.

    Nothing wrong there either, 47.

I think JT, JB and Bonnie Raitt should go on tour together. PBS could do a live concert and give away DVDs during their monthly telethons, I'd probably contribute at a modest level for that!

Of course Woodstock is by Joni Mitchell and Handyman is a cover of a song originally made famous by Jimmy Jones. If you're my age you probably remember your parents mentioning this when Taylor had the mid 70s hit.

I really like the way Taylor phrases and his own writing is usually just as good. I'm pretty sure I don't need to be wearing leather wristbands while I post here, eh? I've spent years playing and loving my accoustic guitars!

I would imagine James was just as bad as Eddie during his addiction periods.

Take care and enjoy the James. The last good new James Taylor record I had was Copper Line and that goes back a ways!

Well thanks I did not know that, when growing up all I ever heard was Country and Western, with the exception of Elvis Presley or Jerry Lee Lewis. I did not discover Rock & Roll till I was a Teenager in the early 80ís.
