Default Kurt Cobain upset with Eddie Van Halen?

I posted this in the present bucket because it was posted on the VHND
    today!
    http://www.vhnd.com/articles/070829-02.shtml

What the hell is this? Does anyone belive this crap?

. Eddie pissed off Kurt Cobain. Before a December 1993 Nirvana show in Los Angeles, Eddie Van Halen was seen and heard backstage begging Kurt Cobain if he could jam with the grunge band that night. Annoyed, Cobain replied, "No, you can't play with us. We don't have any extra guitars." Persisting on, the heavily intoxicated Van Halen, who was on his knees, shouted out, "Well, let me play the Mexican's (referring to Nirvana touring guitarist Pat Smear) guitar. What is he, is he Mexican? Is he black?" Seeing all this, filmmaker Dave Markey, who was videotaping the show that night, turned off his camera in pity of the inebriated Van Halen, thus saving future generations from witnessing this fiasco on youtube

Some of the other stories I have heard many times, except the Michael Anthony and this one. Does anyone have any information for the Cobain incident?

Hey, cool. Thanks for bringing up long lost, meaningless horseshit.

I mean it, without mindless dorks digging up genuinely non-important, trivial and somewhat embarrassing shit from eons ago, one would ultimately have no use for the internet.

Christ, are you missing the fact that the "Weekly World News" went out of business that badly?

If there is any truth to this I seriously doubt that the camera would have been turned off.........Ed at the the time was unhappy with the turn rock music had taken, If there is any truth to this I would expect a story like.......The king hands over his crown.......with full coverage...Ill take it as someone trying to stir some shit.
Please get out of my VH t-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up.

Actually, that was about a member of the U.S. House of Representatives or something...like a Senator. He blew his brains out on a televised news conference.

His name was Bud Dwyer. I think he was just a local yokel politician. Like almost everything, it's out there on the net if you're into that sort of thing. It's gross though...

What Kurt was pissed off at was Eddie's drunkenness and his racist slurs against Pat Smear.

Like most anyone else of this generation in this part of the world, Kurt grew up as a Van HALEN fan (but not Van Hagar).

Beyond that, Kurt didn't have any use for drunks. It had to do with a lot of damage caused by alcoholism within his own family.

Now of course the cheese ballad lovers who like to blame Kurt for the death of their favorite femmy hair bands are going to whine about the "hypocrisy of a heroin addict complaining about alcoholics". Understand that Kurt's use of heroin was never "recreational". He took it, literally as self-medication, for a physical condition in his stomach/intestines which was very painful. That doesn't justify the decision to use smack, but it does explain it. I only wish he had switched to more conventional health care approaches, once he could afford them

    Welcome back, Van HALEN!!!!

...It's the BAND and Dave is really the cat that can front VH. He sang his ASS off and was really cool. No cheese here guys, this is filet Mignon! - Steve Lukather's comment after witnessing a Van HALEN 2007 rehearsal
