Default Research Points To Earth Orbit As Trigger For Ice Ages

Jee wiz, who'd a thunk it?

    http://physorg.com/news107447240.html

Every 23,000 years in each direction.

The team found a correlation between ice age onsets and terminations, and variations in the season of Earth’s closest approach to the sun. Earth's closest pass, or perihelion, happens to fall in June about every 23,000 years. When the shape of Earth's orbit did not allow it to approach as closely to the sun in that month, the relatively cold summer on Earth encouraged the spread of ice sheets on the Northern Hemisphere's land surface. Periods in which Earth passed relatively close in Northern Hemisphere summer accelerated melt and brought an end to ice ages.

“When we start to come to the point of closest approach in June, that’s when the big ice melts off,” said Severinghaus.

I give? Because too much bad cholesterol is still bad for you?
Interesting analogy in that in other news today we're fat and
forever getting fatter. So maybe we will eat our way out of
existence before we kill ourselves with carbon monoxide.
    It's a win win.

That's not the way the do-gooders explained the cholesterol issue to us back in the 1980s. They ran around banning this and forcing labels on stuff and in the end they were most wrong. Some Cholesterol is even good for you, which is what the true experts were saying long before Science in the Public Interest ran wild.

Then you gravitate to Obesity, another "Craze" based on lies started by the US Government. Lies? Yep. They changed the way they calculate the Body Mass Index (BMI) and over night the number of people that the government considered overweight doubled. It is a scam, an effort to tax food and regulate whole new areas of our life.

Don't believe me? Check for yourself.

Here's the Department of Health and Human Services BMI Calculater:

    http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

According to the United States Government, these people are Overweight:

    Kobe Bryant - BMI: 25.4

Tom Brady (QB, NE Patriots) - BMI: 27.4

    Roger Clemens - BMI: 28.6

    Reggie Bush - BMI 27.1

Howie Long (DE Raiders playing weight) 32.0 OBESE BY GOVERNMENT STANDARDS

Joe Montana (QB 49ers playing weight) BMI 25.7

John Elway (QB Broncos playing weight) BMI 26.9

I can do that all night, but you should be getting the point, the weight issue is just another boogie man, a myth created by government pencil pushers to justify their jobs.

    1. I said "bad cholesterol". Point being, a bad thing is still a bad thing.

    2. Dude. Have you been to America? Look around. Fatness is not a "scam".

But it looks like we may be the only two who care one way or the other.
