Default holy crap! check out this post from EVH's tech?

    http://www.hugeracksinc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36966

    Guys,

Changes to rig are new head/cab/speakers, new guitar (still in proto phase), original whammy pedal, and new EVH dunlop wah (still in proto phase).
Removed are the Demeter trem and Line 6 rack delay (never used anyway).

As for his flanger and phaser sound there is simply no secret. His settings are nothing unusual. Its all in his right hand. He hits very hard and that drives the pedals hard. Thats it.

Peter, not sure about Denver. Keep an eye on website. An early itinerary I have says Denver is possible early next year.

As for me, I'm done for good with EVH as of a couple days ago.
I have never spoken publicly about who EVH really is and what his behavior is really like. Plain and simple, I have absolutely nothing nice to say about the man. I could easily lay the truth down but I'll take the high road, like the very class act Michael Anthony and wish him best of luck with his tour and issues.

Right Now...Lonnie is no longer with the band

Right Now...Ed's disptched a team of ninja assassins to "take care of him." Of course they're actually in the porn biz, so they really do "take care of him."

It's not like it's not already common knowledge that EVH is a bit difficult to work with. Ask anyone that doesn't share the same last name that has worked with him in the past.

sounds like a bitter former employee to me. Here's what he said about Ed during the last tour.

"Ed is a person with a big heart. Believe it or not out of any
player I have worked with he is the most thankful appreciative guy. He
constantly thanks you for all your hard work and lets you know that your
doing a great job. That means alot."

His new brother. Old brother. Brother.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.
Michael did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

IAMA I am a stage hand for big mainstream artists. (self.IAmA)

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

wow..that does damage his credibility a bit, huh?

Man, I just don't know what to believe...is Ed a "thankful, appreciative guy" or is there "nothing nice" about him? DAMN IT!!! Until I understand more about Ed's personality, i just can't decide whether or not I can appreciate him as a musician!!! What am I going to do?!! I think I'm going to put all my Van Halen music in a lockbox until I can get to the bottom of this.
    I like Van Halen.

I interviewed Lonnie during the '04 tour for Guitars101.com, so I'll shoot him an email and see what's up.

Might even try to get him over here so he can answer questions directly, but that's up to him.

As many others have said, if you are on Ed's team he seems to be a 'brother' but if you fall from his grace apparently he becomes a cock mite.
