What happened to all the songs "in the can"?

Didn't Ed(tardo) claim numerous times during the time period 1999-2006 while he was drinking himself to death, ruining his marriage, and pissing on his band's legacy, that he had lots of music "in the can"?

Well, where the fuck is it?

No new music to support this 2007 tour thingy?

Like Sam has said, you have to realize that Ed claiming music in the can is likely shit like "Strung Out" that was on Balance. Sam said in a recent interview that Ed's 10 albums worth are just a bunch of noodling with no direction-much like the man himself. Ed just threw that shit out to keep people hangin on while he continued to fuck up the band and everyone around him. Fucking prick that guy! Just one of the many lies and deceit that the souless wonder perpetuates....

Ed collaborated a lot with his singers, Alex, and producers when it came to arrangements. It's no surprise Ed recorded tons of riffs and jams and called it "material." It was! It just need honing and focus, and those two things were missing from VH from about '96 on.

I remember back in 2001 or something during the 2nd reunion with Roth, Dweezil Zappa said that he heard 6 or 7 songs the band demoed and were stellar, the same thingh has been said by Ray Luzier.... I dunno if they are gonna release 'em on an upcoming album or if they gonna write new songs.. (I guess Mike was on bass back then...) they should put on the market a box set with all that stuff, from the 70's til today....

I remember seeing an interview on youtube with Eddie and Val from around '84/85, and he said then that he had enough songs for "two solo albums". Then there was the infamous "enough for ten albums" quote he made a few years ago.

Eddie has also said that he's hummed ideas for riffs he had into a tape recorder in the middle of the night. So that could be it too.

I should've put some smilies in my original post. I realize they'll be no new music. I was kinda half-serious, half-joking.
