Default Axxman Bought A Photo Scanner - Has Gone Crazy. (Rock Concert Pics)

I broke down and bought an HP scanner and I'm scanning in all the family photos onto CD. I also scanned pictures that I took at rock concerts from 1980 to 1983.

These are taken with a sad little 110 camera, so in the case of the KISS shots you have an idea how dang close I was to the stage. Obviously there are no Van Halen pics.

Tony Iomi - Black Sabbath, 1982.

Black Sabbath w/Ronnie James Dio - San Francisco 1982.

Toto, Day on the Green, Oakland - 1982

    Toto again...

After Toto, it was Gamma (Ronnie Montrose) and then Santana. Journey was the headliner. Man, I wish they still put on these kinds of shows. I miss Bill Graham.

Cheap Trick, Day on the Green, Oakland CA, 1980.

Cheap Trick again. This show featureed Molly Hatchet, Cheap Trick, Black Sabbath (w/Dio) and Journey as the headliner.

    Fleetwood Mac....Just kidding.

These were shot at the San Francisco Civic in 1981, this was the last show they did with make-up in the US. Motley Crue, a hot new band out of LA, was the opening act.

Me, 1980 in the Big Sur back country.

I threw this one in for MikeL and the other airplane buffs. This was taken by my bother at Beale AFB, at Marysville CA in 1986.

Yep, it's a dead Redwood tree. That picture was taken in a canyon where a saw mill had once stood. The steam engine was still there.

I can bet it was an UE trip then . You posted some urban/decay photography before, do you have more of those?

And what's that jet on the last picture?

The jet is an SR-71 spyplane. The fastest known air-breathing aircraft in the world.

This particular plane had taken off about an hour before and headed out over the Pacific and returned after refueling at 80,000 feat. The announcer alerted the crowd to look up and the bird was releasing smoke so you could see it. It was going Mach 3. The announcer said that in fifteen minutes the plane would be over Salt Lake City, Utah (we were about 30 miles north of Sacramento).

I haven't been back to the base because I got jumped by some homeless guy back in May. He must have been off of his meds, either way it worked out for me because I was able to escape from the building and hide while he (and his invisible friend) looked for me.

Lol makes you wonder what's worse - cops or 'residents'. And someone had a patience to paint Vallejo's image on the wall. About one of the best graffiti I've seen.
    The chair shot is amazing.

That picture was painted almost 20 years ago. The unit that lived in that barracks was 3-9 (9th Infantry Regiment "Manchus"), their mascot was a dragon.
