    Default Youngest Van Halen Fan

I know many of you love to tell stories about how young you were when you saw your first Halen show back in the day. But who's the youngest person who's attended a VH show?

God (and my wife) willing I'm hoping to set the record if such a thing exists. If my bro's connection for a luxury box for one of the TO shows comes through, I'm thinking of bringing the still unborn It's Me Jr. to his/her first Halen show. Granted at the age of under 1 month he/she is unlikely to remember the show but he'll have some cool photos to look back at with his family and psychiatrist one day.

Does anyone think I'm completely out of my fucking mind with this idea?

PS - sure would be funny if the kid spoke his first words that night and they where "Where's Mike?"

Sure, being able to look back at pictures of a Van Halen concert maybe cool for the kid, but, considering how loud these concerts are, I think is best if the baby doesn't go. That could do permanent damage to brand new, developing ears. Believe me, I'm not trying to sound like I'm spoiling a good time, I just think it would be unfair to the baby to possibly damage its ears without it being able to comprehend what's going on. Catch my drift? Sorry if this whole thing makes me seem lame and old-fashioned.

lol, even I'm not that crazy.

We're expecting in the next month so the kid should be a good 3-4 weeks old before the show.

Here's a better question, who's crazier me bringing my kid to the show or Ed bringing his?

You be lucky to get Mrs. it me there. it took my wife 3 months to go anywhere without our son and when I did all she did was cry the whole night. It was a Metallica show by the way. We had to leave early.

I was 11 when I saw them in 1984, and I will be bringing my 9 year old son to see them when they come to CT.

My Daughter is the youngest person to attend a VH show lol...my wife was around 8 months pregnant with our daughter when we saw VH3 in Philly, 5th row.

I really didn't want my wife to go!! A lot of VHMLers were meeting at Kat Man Du in Philly pre show and I wanted to meet and party hard with em ...but I love her to death and shes a huge fan also so we avoided that and just went to the show. I was real worried about the baby, lol will the vibration be bad etc? her doc even said it was ok so I took her and it was a good time. Our Daughter was moving some during it and she got to feel Van Halen's music before entering the world on her own. She's 9 now and loves music. The main thing cool about that show was hearing so many classics again and being so close.

It's really neat to see these post of parents taking their kids to rock concerts.
I was 14 when i first seen VH in 1978. My older brother had to take me or he couldn't go.

I took my son to his first concert in 2004, VH in OKC. He was 11 at the time.Since then we have seen Sammy in 2006 and RHCP this past March. Had tickets to last saturday's Rush show in Dallas but we sold them because of a family get-together.

Our next show is gonna be a band called Under Oath in Sept. Then Sammy again on Oct25th. VH is playing in KC the very next night. That one is also on our to do list.(fingers crossed)

it's me, if the doc gives his blessing and the boss is up to it...Go for it!!!

Our 13 year old son is coming with us to the KC date.

I explained to him that it wasn't Sammy fronting this time, it was Dave, and I reminded him how he sat bored to tears in '02 on the Sam & Dave tour while Dave did his set. I also told him Mike wasn't going to be there, either.

He said, "I don't care. It's Van Halen, Dad. Even if Mike isn't gonna be there, I still want to go."

    There ya have it.
"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."

"This is a lttle prayer dedicated to the separation of church and state. I guess if they are going to force those kids to pray in schools they might as well have a nice prayer like this: Our Father who art in heaven, and to the republic for which it stands, thy kingdom come, one nation indivisible as in heaven, give us this day as we forgive those who so proudly we hail. Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."
