    Default Toronto top ticket pricing

I did a quick check the top tickets prices:

    Charlotte/Greensboro $125
    Philly $150
    Detroit $80
    Toronto $199
    Unsure of Chicago pricing

Charlotte/Greensboro from ticketmaster, Philly & Detroit from venue websites, Toronto from local media reports.

Why the increase in the Toronto pricing ?

That is rediculous! Absolute robbery! Stcking with my plan to take son to Senators game on the 8th at Scotia Bank place. Disgusting ticket price for not even the origonal line-up. I smell 2004 all over again.

Could be the Toronto Show is in Canadian funds. I've been a fan since I was 12 I'm now 40. I plan on flying from Vancouver To Toronto for the ACC show (cause everytime I saw them in TO the show rocked vs the shows I saw in Vancouver but thats another story) to go with a buddy I used to jam old VH tunes with when we were 12. Looking @ the VIP price tag of $695 USD Makes me think that the tour promoters think it won't last past the first half of the leg, and need to get their cash out of it as fast as possible or Ed said i ain't puttin up with Roth unless there's money on the table! I'm sure the band will be great, and I'm curious to see Wolf and his dad I think this could be a historical moment in rock and roll as its never been done before has it ? But the price tag is nutz and bad pr for the band as it draws a line between the rich that can afford the VIP tix and those who can't or refuse to pay this much. They're a party band not the Beatles or the Stones I think its a different fan base and product offering. This could be the end! Good luck Van halen I'll be watching from the nose bleed section with the rest of your true fans!
    Out.

Agreed--I went to the 5 star in 04 and was worth it because of soundcheck omly---no way i want to pay this kind of $. But I worry that if 5 star and 4 star packages sell out quickly in Toronto that the good seats will be gone come saturday. By the way, any word on whether Amex is doing front of the line before saturday's on sale??

Any thoughts by other Toronto fans on how to get best seats if 4 star and 5 star sell out today?

All kinds of crazy prices already on E-bay.

1700+ for 2 floor ticket at MSG in NY. Lots of insider trading taking place already.

    Toronto's been updated at ticketmaster.com

    "CA $65.50 - CA $159.50"
Now comes my favorite part of the show. It's my favorite part of the whole evening. We've been on tour since March and I have no better time anytime then right now because I get to go sit down, have myself a nice cold one and listen to the greatest rock n'roll guitar player in the world. part of it is the CAD dollar (199 CAD = $187 USD), the bigger part is the ACC (and Toronto in general) is very expensive. VH has prices comaprable to JLo and Marc Anthony.

edit - as per Zaxxon - 159 - tickets are comparable to philly and cheaper than other shows in TO.

Wow! They actually readjusted the price! The Toronto Sun yesterday advertised the show's top price as $199.50 CDN so its alittle encouraging. Thanks Zaxxon5150 for the tip---btw scroll up---any thoughts on my earlier questions (even though you are not in Toronto)--much appreciated brother!

much like most cities, the brokers will end up with most of the best seats. So if you want good seats just start saving money or hope u get lucky on saturday.

I'm pondering that same question myself in Chicago. There is no freakin way I'd waste money on the 4 star package again. We traveled to Cleveland in 04' with the 4 star package and the guy next to me asked me what my VH ILAA lanyard was for. I told him to get good seats inside the first 20 rows and what we paid for them and he laughed cause he paid more that a 100 bucks less for the same seats. :|

So I don't know this time around. My gf has a citi card so I don't know if the block of tickets citi has are any better or worse than hoping for the best on-line the moment they go on sale to the general public.

Thank you my friend! Is your plan to try the public on-sale on saturday and then once you get your tix (depending on where your seat is) to trade up via a ticket broker? Or will you simply wait a couple of days before the show?

Good point. I would have thought AMEX would do the front of the line promo as they usually do---dont have a citi bank so will hope I get good seats on the net saturday morning when tix go on sale. Will also be looking for any pre-sales through Q107 our local classic rock radio station that plays VH alot. If no good seats come up on the net, I will definitely invest some extra cash through a broker---any Toronto VH fans going through brokers know of specific ones who have consistently great seats to the BIG shows?

    couple interesting things about Toronto.

    1) a little birdie tells me a 2nd show is likely to be added for Oct 8th.

    2) the show is being billed as "Van Halen and David Lee Roth" as opposed to just VH.
