    Default Pool League Questions

    Hey Folks,

I'm a partner in a new bar and we have one pool table.
We would like to set up a Pool League, probably Sunday nights.

Does anyone here have experience either playing in or running a pool league? Most of the stuff online I’ve seen seems to be set up for multiple table facilities.

I was thinking round-robin weekly match ups with like 3 players per team for each match. Best of 7?

Any ideas would sure help. thanks

When you say you want to start a pool league, you mean just at your establishment, right? See, I'm used to having a bar sponsor a team and they go and play other teams (bars) in the area. So sometimes you play at your place (home) and other times you're on the road at some other place that's in the league.
The bar that sponsors my darts team also sponsors a pool team. We have 2 pool tables at our place. But I've seen bars that have only one table compete in a pool league.
I would think for you to have your own pool league that takes place exclusively at your bar, you would need another table at least, IMO.
If you were part of a league with other bars you might attract some clientele that normally wouldn't check out your place.
I don't know if I helped at all, but just wanted to offer some thoughts. Good luck either way.

Thanks. That does help. We were thinking to do a fall league in house to get our feet wet with the process before we get in a multi-bar league.

I need to figure out a way to do a league without to much down time for those not playing. Maybe smaller teams?

To give you an idea on how green we are, we don't know how scoring and or points/wins are calculated. I was able to find plenty of rules and such in search engines.

If anyone has score sheets and or methods of points/wins on excel or word, please PM me.

    Thanks
