    Default Why not play something?

If they've been rehearsing as much as they say they have and they've never been more on top of their game . . . why not do something like The Police did at the Whiskey?

Would have been cool to see and would have generated a lot of buzz . . ., especially with the unknown of the kid.

Still early in the game...who says they will not?

    Cuz they aren't the Police.

no one would be saying this if Mike was standing up there.

This has nothing to do with Mike. For the fan that went to the '04 debacle and spent several hundred dollars to get in their seat, I'd want to know that Ed will play in right key.

I just thought it would be a good statement to show that they really are "on top of their game" as DLR brags.

they want our money before they play a note - no different than 2004 - and most bands that do reunion tours for that matter. Kinda sucks but I'd do the same thing, wouldn't u?

I think the kid can do it.

i hate wondering about the what ifs...i'm still goin to see the show..i will be watching Ed and Dave,...and now i will be looking over to see how Wolfie is doin...whereas i never needed to worry about it before..

only two good things i can think of immediately
    No more Give to Live
no more Where Eagles Fly or whatever he was singing about...

Hopefully SNL will book them on the season opener which is usually mid sept. Or Letterman/Leno gets them on before the tour starts.

VMA's would be good as well.

I am as worried about Ed and Al as I am Wolf. Unlike Sam/Mike who play and are in constant motion, these guys haven't played a live date that I know of since the Chesney stupidity.

I think the theory that we want to "sell" the show based on your memory and longing for 1984 is on the "money".

Well...if ticket sales are slow, this weekend...then maybe they'll HAVE to put themselves out there!
