Default My 82 purple Kramer Pacer

    Just finished it...

It's a Warmoth body and neck with a Seymour Duncan Custom Trembucker in the bridge. I used electrical tape just like the orginal, although the striping pattern is not exact. Schaller tuners and straplocks. No Rockinger on this one - I used a 1980s Floyd Rose with a d-tuna. Oh yeah, the neck pickup is a Fernandes Sustainer.

Man, that's a great looking guitar. Nice job!

Did you do your own route for the sustainer chip? I
know how bulky that sucker is...

The Sustainer circuit board is maybe 1 1/2" X 2", plus it requires a 9V battery. I had to have my tech do a whole special route of the control cavity on the Wolfie I'm putting one in.

One of the great things about Warmoth bodies are their large control cavities. I did not have to expand the cavity and everything is squeezed in there pretty tight - two mini pots, one 3-way switch, the 9-volt battery/clip, and the Fernandes circuit board. I did, however, have to drill out the wire channel from the neck pickup cavity to the control cavity with an extended 7/16" bit. The Fernandes Sustainer pickup has a large connector pin on the end, which plugs into the circuit board in the control cavity, and this connector pin will not pass through a standard wire channel. So that added another $13 to the project (foot-long, 7/16" bit from Home Depot).

Definitely. The Wolfgang's cavity is not nearly as big as a standard Warmoth cavity. Cool idea!

My tech routed to the standard Warmoth cavity shape, in fact. So I just bought one of their control cavity covers and was good to go!

Yeah, the Warmoth standard cavity is perfect for active electronics and anything else that takes up a lot of room. Have any pics of your Wolfgang Sustainer?
