Any construction going on there right now probably has nothing to do with aliens.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're building a huge concentration camp down there for when the Chimptator enacts all of his recently signed executive orders.

The sad thing is that when I posted this last night I thought about making a joke about it being a giant gas chamber for the BCE. Then I realized that would be too lame.

The BCE has admitted that they're building camps. They even admitted to giving the contract to (who else) Halliburton/KBR.

So why would anyone be surprised that such a facility would be built at the most secretive, high security military base in the entire country?

Actually, a friend of mine who lives in Vegas had an interesting theory about Area 51, and nothing to do with aliens. He's observed the fact that a plane flies from Vegas to the base in the morning, with civillian (apparently) employees, and that a plane also comes back at night, presumably carrying the same crew. But the plane makes round trips each time, yet doesn't appear to be unloading passengers when it lands in Vegas the second time.

Now why would a plane return empty and waste jet fuel, especially at today's prices?

So what if the secretive nature of Area 51 isn't about little green men in flying saucers at all, but is really about some secret operation conducted by human beings, daily, with the product being moved out through Vegas.

His theory is that there's a huge gold mine under the base, and he claims to have seen old maps of the area which indicated there was gold in the area.

I thought it was a logical scenario, but offered the alternative explanation that it could be a huge drug operation. An underground greenhouse growing some premium coca plants? Why not.

Either way, the object is probably to fund "black ops" and keep it entirely off the budget.

Which would be easier to move through Las Vegas? Gold, or nose candy?

Jesus Ford, they (The conspiracy theorists) have been talking about concentration camps in America, long before G. W. Bush stepped into office.

Area 51 was built over an old Silver mine. That's a fact.

My late boss grew up in Tonopah, NV. His father and their Indian ranch-hand used to pay the large farm bills with Gold that they dug up about 40 miles to the south. It's an area near Groom Lake and dangerously close to the Atomic Test site.

    True story:

My late boss's dad, Ed, needed about six miles of new fencing so he and his ranch hand got into their pickup truck and drove south to the area where they had a mining claim. They were driving on a dirt road when they came upon an Army jeep with four soldiers sitting in it. The soldiers didn't try to stop Ed, they just smiled and waved as he drove by. About fifteen minutes later as they neared the mining claim there was a bright flash, followed by a loud boom. Ed looked and saw that only a few miles away was a growing mushroom cloud. Ed and his ranch hand didn't know what to do so they stopped the truck and jumped out and started to throw dirt on themselves in an effort to shield themselves from radiation. Anyway, they sat for a while and watched the cloud climb into the sky and then blow towards Utah. They then drove the short distance to the claim and dug out an Asprin bottle full of Gold nuggets, which was enough to buy a new fence and put Christmas money into the bank.

It would not suprise me that Area 51 has Gold bearing ore. It would be a great way for the site to pay for itself and or a great way for the CIA/NRO(who own and operate the facility) to get money for it's black budget operations in such a way that it would never be on the books. There is no oversite for the place so any gold dug out of there would just be transferred by a 3rd party mining company into the Treasury and the check would then end up in an off-shore bank account. Maybe they could just load the gold on C-130s and fly them to Switzerland.

However, a mine would be visable from the air (all that dirt has to go somewhere). Also, Area 51 conducts cutting edge aeronautical research of a highly sensative nature, since the US Government sits on many places where there are serious Gold deposits, I doubt that they'd risk a security breach by running a mining operation out there.

Gov’t Will Seize Nevada Family’s Property Near Area 51 If They Won’t Accept the Air Force’s ‘Last Best Offer’

    Sep. 7, 2015

The U.S. Air Force is giving an ultimatum to the owners of a remote Nevada property that over time has been surrounded by a vast bombing range including the super-secret Area 51.

The Sheahan family is being told to take a $5.2 million “last best offer” for their property by Thursday — or the government will seize it through condemnation.

The owners include descendants of a couple who lost their hardscrabble mining enterprise after the Air Force moved in in the 1940s. Nuclear tests then began in 1951, their mine mill mysteriously exploded in 1954 and they ran out of money to seek reparations from the government in 1959.

Family representatives say they’ll reject the deal — at least for now. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported this is because they simply “want to keep our property.”

Here’s more on the family’s back story from the newspaper:

[Joe Sheahan, 54, and his] cousins Ben Sheahan, 56, Danny Sheahan, 58, and Barbara Sheahan Manning, 59, — all from Henderson — said their stake in the combined 400 acres of property and unpatented mining claims is worth considerably more, not counting the reparations they say they are owed by the Air Force and Department of Energy for “abuses and atrocities” that date back to the early 1950s. That’s when they said their ore processing mill was fire-bombed by a military jet and their property was showered by radioactive fallout from numerous above-ground nuclear weapons tests.

Most recently, when some family members visited the property in the restricted area 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas — as the Air Force has allowed them to do about once a month — guards held them at gunpoint, including a 7-year-old girl who was “traumatized” by the show of force, Danny Sheahan said.

“It seems like machine guns solve anything on the property out there. That’s not the American way,” he said

The Review-Journal reported a Nellis Air Force Base spokesman saying there was no evidence to support this accusation and noted that the Air Force is insisting that the family sell the property because they have apparently interfered with testing operations. Air Force officials consider it a matter of national security.

In a news release, Nellis Air Force Base said that the family and the military’s operations at the Nevada Test and Training Range ”have become less and less compatible.”

The Air Force has worked hard to be a responsible neighbor by actively working with the landowners and local neighbors to ensure our evolving missions and communities grew in a compatible, mutually beneficial manner,” Col. Thomas Dempsey, commander of the Nevada Test and Training Range Wing, said in a statement. “But in this case, the Air Force has exhausted all reasonable options to reach a settlement with the land owners.”

The family, however, discredits the claim that they’ve been disruptive.

“We’re interrupting their operations? Really?” Joe Sheahan told the Review-Journal. “We didn’t parachute into their backyard. They parachuted into our backyard.”
