    Default Eds Charvels 2004 tour

Anyone know the outcome of the guitars Eds was selling on ebay from the 2004 tour ?? I heard that it was kind of a bust, that bidders were not actually buying and that he still has quite a few of them that never sold,
also I guess the Charvel EVH series didn't sell worth beans either ?

From what I remember, they were snatched up by collectors on Ebay. They're probably resting in their cases or hanging in display cases at the owners offices.

    Why do "guess" that?

I think they sold most of them, although I don't think it was ever confirmed how many Ed actually did stripe up.

I know a guy who bought 2 and another guy in the UK bought 3, but sold 2 of them some months later back on ebay, from what I remember he sold them at a loss!

Compared to the price of a Frankie and as a piece of VH history, the auction Charvels now seem better value for the money!!!... striped by Ed, played live on one song by Ed and each one was a one off... unlike the Frankie... which has never been seen or touched by Ed and 300 made by a guy in the Jackson custom shop!
    Don't J/C custom shops cost around 5 or 6k?

They all sold, and I think the take was somewhere around $750,000. Plus, the person that paid the highest for one got Ed's custom Harley as well. Also, he didn't technically 'stripe' them himself, he just taped them up.

Are you getting confused with the mass-production EVH Charvels, or do they actually have a signed auction one for sale!!

If you have a look at the EVH limited edition site, click guitar gallery, you'll see the guy who bought the Hamilton guitar...

Regarding the Harley, they never did put who actually won it??? I always thought that legally in a competition, you had to let the public know the winner, or that the prize had been claimed? ... I could be wrong, but I'm sure it applies in the UK.
