    Default Question about LWAN DVD

I only have the VHS of Live Without A Net and I've yet to purchase the DVD, but my question is this: Does the DVD have a 5.1 surround mix or only a 2.0?

It has Dolby and DTS. They didn't exactly kill themselves taking advantage of it though..

Yeah...*sigh*...although it's good to have it on DVD, they didn't do too much of ANYTHING to make it better - sound, picture, or anything else...

My advice is to go for the alien abduction story. Look bemused, dishevelled and on the verge of tears as you recount your story of intrusive and degrading medical tests.
Worked for me anyway. I still have colleagues asking me what it is like to fuck a green womanoid with seventeen breasts.

that would mean that they actually would have had to spend money on the project or GASP!!!..... add something to the existing product. I know it would have killed them to throw wildthing or addidcted to love on there...I mean fuck nobody would ever want to see or hear that footage. It's like once something is unreleased it will never get released, once something is released it will never get modified in any way shape or form.

The Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 has likely been remixed from the stereo track, rather than going back to the original tapes. Maybe those tapes don't exist anymore, I don't know, but when Jimmy Page can go back almost thirty-five years to remix and re-edit for the Led Zeppelin 2-DVD release, you'd like to think that they do...

The 5.1 DTS sounds great on my surround sound. Great improvement. The picture though...
Wolfie is not Mike, but he's more than ok.
Mike is gone, but not forgotten. They played some amazing shows from 2007-2015; some people are in denial about it.

Take it with a grain of salt, as the only "hidden feature" (or easter egg) in a Google search for "Van Halen" produced this (somewhat ponderous and strange) entry:http://www.eeggs.com/items/2247.html

"Hot for Teacher (Van Halen) - Encoded Message on Board
After the verse that goes something like, "I wonder what the teacher is going to look like this year" the teacher comes in and walks from right to left. Notice the numbers on the chalk board behind her (stop looking at her). They are in a sine wave and read from right to left "Holy Sh*t"--use the "secret code" the letter "A" = 1 and letter "Z" = 26 (and so on in between). It takes a couple of shots at the board to write down all the numbers. I wonder who in the band thought this one up? Am I the only person who caught this?"

That's simply too much devotion, right there.

Wow! Pure magic! (<- sarcasm here)

Do you remember on the official v-h.com the section "did you know"?

    Let me remember:
    - Hot for teacher secret code explanation
    - Something about the title of the song "top jimmy"

    What else??
