Default Ford Museum Cars and Guitars

    http://www.thehenryford.org/museum/rockstars/index.html

The Henry Ford Museum is having a exhibit called "Cars and Guitars." No VH guitars but they have some VH related cars including the 1932 Ford Phaeton Hot Rod from the "Hot for Teacher Video", Dave's "Californian Girls" video,Sammy's 1926 Ford Roadster Hot Rod, and 17 other Rockers cars.

Pretty cool I have been thinking about visiting but now I have little more interest. I think Henry Ford was one of America's greatest and will enjoy many other parts of the museum.

    It's a pretty cool exhibit ...

I went over the 4th of July weekend to this exhibit at the Henry Ford. I'm not much of a car person but the exhibit was pretty good. Yes, the car from "Hot For Teacher" and the red car from "Panama" were both there. The star of the exhibit happens to be John Lennon's painted up Rolls Royce. The guitars on display weren't terribly impressive (I was hoping to see one of Eddie's Kramers but ... no cigar). Notable guitars were Rick Nielsen's 5 neck Hamer and Ted Nugent's battle-worn Gibsons. Some of the guitars looked so well taken care of, I wonder if they were really ever played (case in point: a Randy Rhodes polka-dot Jackson that looked like it could have come from a local Guitar Center). I'm not knocking the exhibit; it was cool. I was just hoping for something a little more extensive.

They also had 2 stations of "Guitar Hero II" and I tried that for the first time. According to the game, I failed playing Cheap Trick's "Surrender". At least I know that I could play that on a real guitar. It was good for a laugh, anyways.

1.The ability to "trick out" your moms civic with high end parts from the automotive section in your local SUPERwal-mart. (watch out for those falling prices!)

2.Any low end "import" with a foldgers coffee can for a muffler...(the best part of waking up...is foldgers in your cup!)

3.Usually your average 4 cylinder, front wheel drive car with a park bench for a "spoiler"

The outfit failed to make it work, so it was parted out and sold for scrap.
