    Default Willy's Favorite Youtube Clips!!

Hey, I like to post clips of stuff I love (music related in this care). Anyway, here we go:

My favorite song in the world is "I'm Losing You". Lots of people are not aware that this song was first performed by The Temptations, many that are aware also seem to feel Rod's (with The Faces) is better. I love both:

    Temptations:

    The Faces:

When guitar players get into the Jimi Hendrix argument the favorable of Hendrix always talk about "Machine Gun" as proof of his genius and importance. There are many versions out there but their only talking about this one (try and take your time to watch this, without distractions, it's worth it):

Jaco Pastorius is my favorite bass player. For those not initiated he's sorta the Eddie Van Halen of the bass world. Some came before him and did what he did, others have followed and "improved", but Jaco is the real deal, sorta like Ed. This is Jaco in his prime (didn't last very long):

And here is some guy doing a great job with one of Jaco's most known songs, "Come On, Come Over" (wait until about the 55 second mark, it's a cool groove):

Here is one of Michael Hedges doing "All Along The Watchtower", he has lots of stuff that show his greatness but this one is most accesible (be patient, it takes a while for him tune up):

Here is the song most associated with him (thats all him, nothing pre recorded):

There is no "greates" but in my mind Paco de Lucia is the greatest:

I used to hate this song but after watching the Concert For George I can't listen to it without choking up a little. Ringo's "Photograph" from the DVD (it's great and sad when you consider the words):

Jools Holand (formall from The Squeeze) is one of my favorite female singers and she is so underated. She's a little tentative at first but she really brings it after a little while. This is from the same DVD (got buy it ):

You might hear some of us talk about "YYZ" (Rush) live in Rio concerning the band and the amazing crowd, this is what were talking about (go see them this summer, you won't regret it):

Here is 2112 (same show and DVD):

One more, my favorite Rush song (The Pass, and it smokes here):

I have a soft spot for songs written by women. This is the perfect female song, a guy can not relate:

Another from Rush. If we picked up Top 40 music from the other side of the universe I would imagine it to sound like this song (Natural Science):

Pink Floyd, there is a surprise towards the end (about 6:43). I can't tell you how well this worked live, it looked incredible (even outdoors like when I seen them in Raleigh NC):

A completely stoned Alvin Lee (Ten Years After) ripping the shit out of the Woodstock audience:

    '

Richie Havens absolutely killing at Woodstock (he actually played for hours because the show was running so far behind and they needed him to fill time):

    That's it for now.

Not music but it's funny (there is a Michael Stipe reference). Here is Peter Griffin confronting his sons bully (with typical results):

Brian owes Stewie money, not good:
