Great news from the King of Six String.
I wasn't going to pay the 70 bucks or whatever to hear 3 Lock Box and an early VH cover band fronted by Dave, but I'm tempted to get a ticket now that Eddie has announced is ability to rock cancer free again.

Do you think they'll join the tour? Maybe just in LA? I know Mike said no, but hey.

Never.
CHICAGO WHITE SOX - 2005 WORLD CHAMPIONS

The Chicago White Sox (1901-present) - The Original SOX - Proof

The Boston Americans (1901)
The Boston Somersets (1902)
The Boston Pilgrims (1903-1906)
The Boston Red Sox (1907-present) - Proof

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.

Nope. I think that's a given at this point. Let's just enjoy the tour for what it is.

Fair enough. I don't mind if Eddie just releases movie scores from here on out, just as long as he starts releasing some music.

It doesn't seem likely that Van Halen will ever perform live again.

Eddie, a drum machine, some other bass player and another failed singer, maybe. But not Van Halen and not Van Hagar.

I wanna see Ed and the boys hook up with Paul Rogers. I think they could do an AWESOME blues-based record that is radio friendly!!

If Van Halen wants to rise from the ashes, they're gonna have to do something a little different.

And they could call that Bad Halen. Which would probably be a description of how it would sound (Remember the Firm, a.k.a. Bad Zeppelin)

Paul Rodgers is a great singer, whose voice shows very little sign of age in his mid 50's. But bands are about chemistry, and I don't see there being any here. Just having a good singer and a good guitarist together is no guarantee of that, as The Firm proved.

Okay. I'll buy that. Who do you think Ed would have good chemistry with? I have a hard time thinking of anyone who could record and tour with Ed.
