    Default "vAN hALEN WILL TOUR IN 2007"

    That is what the Live Nation promoter here in CT, Jim Koplik said today on the radio. He said he has heard from the VH camp and all is well with Eddie, Dave ,Alex and Wolfie to tour this year. He plans on putting them in the Mohegan Sun arena which is actually what I would consider a small venue approx. 9000 available seats for concerts. He did say it would be Wolfie on Bass and not to expect to ever see M.A. with Van Halen.

    That's kind of depressing. I'll still check it out because I make a lame ideologue when it comes to rock n roll, but not having Mikey waters down the straight Single Barrel, 95-proof, Jack Daniels that a real reunion would be. Man, these guys really have the opportunity to kick the snoozer of a concern season (the Police reunion was terrible) in the ass and they give us 75%.

    Still better than nothing, but if they don't do it with Mikey first, they are never going to be able to do it with the same impact.

    :::sigh:::

    Fuck. Why Mohegan Sun?? I'd rather see a show at a regular venue, not a casino. There's not really any tailgating pre-show at a casino.

    Oh well, I guess beggers can't be choosers.

    If true it's probably because it's a small low key venue, good place to get their feat wet.

    A lot of bands like the casino because there is no travel involved getting from the venue to your room after the show. Everything they could possibly want is there, restaurants, shopping for the wives, alcohol, gambling, and hookers. What more could you ask for in a venue.

    If it's anything like the local HardRock Casino, he'll have no problem. One should see the amount of underaged folk there, wandering about quite openly.

    They'd better start booking smaller venues than that.
    Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

    No Mike = No VH. Simple as that.

    You know how you get through to the Lying Dutchmen about Mike? Don't support the show. And if you do, wear your "No Mike = No VH" shirts. Of course, that probably won't work with them.

    This is not good news in my book, but then again, I really don't care anymore.

    The Other Half / Mad Anthony Express / Los Tres Gusanos will be a much better, REAL experience. Therefore, my money goes to that

    I'll discuss VH concert plans when there are VH concert plans to discuss. That means: Tickets in hand; promoters promoting; VH on the record announcing all the details.
