Dude, you SO bought the better guitar!

I wish those PRS guitars fit me better. They're amazingly well-made and awesome sounding.

I fell in love with the PRS custom 24. Never even heard of Paul Reed Smith until I saw this guitar, and the guitar smokes! I didn't get to play the EVH art series (guitar center couldn't find one for me), but I hoped it would have sounded as good as the PRS.

Damn right it was the better choice! I can't get used to them either, but they are unreal!

That's a nice one, Scotty. I hope you really like it. Your post had me checking out some of the Custom 24s hanging in the music store I teach at today.

What did you think of the 24's you saw?

Sweet guitars! Played mine for a couple of hours last night til my wife made me put it away... the craftsmanship on the PRS guitars are amazing. I'll catch myself just looking at it for long periods of time.

I think they're great. And I still love the philosophy behind a quality USA-made guitar. They just aren't that comfortable for me to play--the weight distribution and neck width, contour, finish, etc. I suppose I could get used to one over time, but I'm SO into an unfinished neck (like the Wolfgang), asymetrical shape, and 1 5/8" nut, it's hard to adapt to anything else.

    Maybe someday!

Yes, yes... it is indeed a beautiful guitar to look at all googley-eyed, but PLAY THAT DAMN THING!

I played a couple of Peavy Wolfgangs when I was shopping around. I did like the Wolfgangs too. But the PRS fit me better and the sound seemed to have more range. I was playing metal to blues with a turn of a dial. If only there were more hours in the day for playing guitar!!!

I went to your website. I dig the wolfgang project you have there. Great guitar! I'm gonna have to get a wolfgang someday....

Do you use a D-tuna on your Wolfgang?

    I own an '86 Custom 24.
It's an incredible guitar, but I have to agree with AndrewThomas.net ...
The scale length does sorta makes it feel sorta unbalanced and "long" IMO.

Still my '86 is a rare bird and I'll never part with it.

The sounds I can get outta this custom 24 is amazing. Outta all the guitars I played while shopping around the PRS Custom 24 was the easiest to play.
