Van Halen appeared on Late Night with David Letterman.

Can you believe its been 7 year since their last "REAL" tour as a "popular" rock band?

I saw them that night. Dave kept making jokes about how high Sammy was jumping. It was pretty funny.

And it was 7 years ago yesterday that Jerry Garcia took his eternal dirt nap.

Saw VH that same night at Great Woods.

Sebastian Bach dedicated "I Remember You" to him and Sammy dedicated "Eagles Fly" to him as well.

Actually, Sammy once said that Jerry was his next door neighbor!

I remember that too! It's been that long already, huh?

I was also at that Great Woods show. Eddymon and Carbo, I don't know if you remember the end of the show where the band was taking their bow. A banner was thrown up on stage that read, "GREAT WOODS SURVIVED THE AFTERSHOCK". I was the one who threw it on stage. I've always tried to find a video of the show but could never find one.

I was at the Great Woods show 8/9/95. What I remember most was at the end, some fan ran right past me and jumped up on stage and took a bow with the band.

I remember that shit, too. I was at that show. I remember them talking about the Letterman show coming up. Damn, long time ago...

I was there with my wife and a friend of hers/ours. Going back with both of them for the August 28 Sam and Dave show.

Its approaching the 7 year anniversary since the bands last appearance in Ottawa. I saw the show with a friend, my brother and my sister. It was probably the best concert I had ever attended. The vibe was just totally amazing that night and the band was tight. I had general admission tickets and as soon as the gates opened I made a break for it to the front of the stage. I actually got to the railing right up front on Mikey's side. It was just such an amazing experience being only a few feet away from the greatest rock band on the planet. Sometimes I wish I could relive those couple of hours because it was one of the best moments ever. Van Halen please come back. We miss you guys.
