60 million in revenue! Sammy has said that he's made more money in tequila than he ever has in music.

I wouldn't go quite that far, as for me the tequila goes down a tad smoother.

Yet I will not knock a guy for sticking with an enterprise through the lean years and making it work. That takes a certain degree of huevos grande in today's business climate, as it's all about instant gratification and rapid return on the investment dollar.

To not bail on a product and to stick with it if it means pitching the product to the masses yourself, displays a level of commitment that is admirable. The results are commendable as well.

    Good for the guy.

Well. If you just take the time to highlight a few quotes, then for sure 'em Rothtards will come full throttle to shed some "light" on this thread:

"This month, following his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Hagar introduced Cabo Uno, a $250 limited-edition reserve."

(hint at possible anti-Hagar flame: he's milking his RNRHOF induction)

"Being a huge corporate brand was never in Hagar's plan. Refusing to deploy a team of marketers, he relied on his grassroots rocker platform to spread the word. In 1999 he wrote the party anthem Más Tequila, and he says he always mentioned the brand in interviews."

(hint: pimping his brand during interviews)

On another note, I see that he's considering a Cabo beer line. That could be interesting if done correctly. More of a beer lover than the Tequila, so that would be great.

BTW six, your band playing in dallas anytime soon?

I like the line where he says 40Gs is like pocket change for the VH bros.
There's new info in this article, becoz I don't think he ever made public the initial investment in CW. I would've thought that it was more than 100Gs per band member. You can't even buy half of a house for that price.

It makes the VH bros look like fools even more, I mean it's really not much money for them.
