I don't usually comment on stuff like this...but since I've had 2 doubles of Crown Royal and a 750ml bottle of Ommegang Witte beer...I'm going to fucking comment:

I feel there is more magic at this stage of their careers with Sam than with Dave. Again...just my personal opinion. I personally have more GOOD memories with them together than with Dave and Ed. I think that is what can settle the Dave and Sam war within each of us.

Do you have better memories watching Same and Ed or Dave and Ed?

    That's the bottom line.

    No chance.

Also, I was at that show front row center stage. Eddie was stumbling all over the place like he was for almost every show on that tour. That video is showing a little "kiss and make up" segment because shortly before that Hagar was so pissed at Eddie that he started to walk off the stage and he shouted at Mike, "what the fuck is he doing". Mike calmed him down. The 2004 tour was a nightmare. Who the hell would want to see that again!

Eddie played amazing when I saw him in 2004. It was a great day for me, I never thought Sammy would get back in VH after 96, so I loved it!

They rocked in OKC (Oklahoma City)!!!!

I loved the show. Seventh row in front of Eddie and Sammy. Eddie was even hittin' the Cabo. And Toby Keith joined Sammy for a duet of "I Love This Bar".

Im sure most here have had some kind of falling out with people who were VERY important to us. If it goes on to long it's nearlly impossible to get thing's on track again (the fact that it will never be the same again makes it seem not worth the trouble, in a sad way). I bet Ed and Sammy love the hell out of each other, for a period of time they had the world by the balls despite nearly everyone betting against them (prior to 5150). Shit has gone down since then that makes it hard to get any of that back (Ed's behaviour being the biggest culprit that WE can see). We should have come to grips long ago that Van Halen will never be a solid unit again, with Dave or Sam.

This sounds like a negative post but im not typing it that way. This kind of stuff happens to everyone, even platinum selling rockstars.

Oh, to keep with the feel of this thread. Ed (and the band) kicked major ass in San Diego, im sorry everyone here couldn't have been there.

Nice clip! Where was this taken from? The 9/11/2004 show in Fort Lauderdale was pure magic. Incredible show/love by the entire band. Their show in Jacksonville was also very good with great playing by EDDIE. The 2004 was not a disaster, it had it ups and downs.

Hopefully Ed can get his life together again. From that point who knows.

I think that VH with Sam is certainly capable of making another quality record. First thing first, Ed has to get healthy.

Buffalo and Toronto had a lot of moments like these. Eddie was overwhelmed by the fans and they all acted like best friends. At the same time, I remember thinking it was all too perfect. Eddie still stumbled and wasn't on top of his game, but much better than he played in most of the shows I've heard from that tour.

Sam: Hey Ed this is Great isn't it
Ed: What...ahhh...shut the fuck up would you please
Sam: Come on man...lets have some fun
    Ed: Who are you?
    Sam: Sammy...
Ed: Al...Al...there's a guy named Sammy singing with us! That's fuckin AWESOME!!!

I like seeing video's like this though, all joking aside. I don't know what their saying...Who knows...but it looks like the magic and love was there...if only for a brief moment in time...it was still there.
