Default what if '08 is another tour with sam?

how will you feel if ed al mike and sam go back out in 08 and ed is clean and he and sam and mike all get along again?

i love sam's years in the band, but i'd be a little bummed out.

it's time for cvh. sam even says so.

    thoughts?

getting ed and dave to tour asap is like getting the sale done. if you let the person go home to think about it, it'll never happen. the shit needs to get done

Nobody wants a Van Hagar tour other than a handful of sheep on this board.

    And that includes Sammy Hagar!

The next Van Halen tour will be Van HALEN. Eddie wouldn't be concerned about "giving the fans his best" if it was just going to be the same old cheese ballads again. No, he knows this is the real thing, and while he was "excited" to be working with Dave again, he also knew he wasn't up to it.

So when he is up to it, why regress back to the Velveeta.

Oh, and Van Quaalude.... don't even bother responding to this with your tired predictable strawman horseshit.

I'd be pretty damn pissed off if we have to tolerate another any more Van Hagar moments. Even Spam admits what he already is aware the public wants....CVH with DAVE.

Ed's a mess, who knows what the fuck he wants. Certainly none of us do.

And Dave's a shithead for not going tonight now that it becomes evern more obvious he could have played.

i'd want a CVH tour before i'd want a combo tour, but i wouldn't mind the combo tour eventually... but they can't take the approach of how the tracks were laid out for BOBW...

    but definitely CVH first...

Can you blame Dave for not participating in that fucking trainwreck? Granted, I think he and Alex should have at least done a satellite hookup, just to reinforce the message that the band is still together, just putting the tour off until Ed is ready.

It was sad that Mike and Sam were the only members of the BEST band at that ceremony, the band that could have and should have smoked everyone on national TV. They were the only band to embarrass themselves by not showing up. Yeah the HOF is not worth a shit, but at one point, VH certainly seemed to care they were all going. The band is still together? FORD there is no band man.

don't think a combo tour will ever happen. a cvh tour w/dave would have to happen first so dfave can have his time in the spotlight. maybe afterwards, but i really doubt it.

To answer the original question of this thread, right now I'd say NO to any more VH. I can't believe I just typed that, but it's true. At least right now. The bros would have to do some heavy duty apologizing for what happened tonight.

I'd rather keep taking from yesterday than trying to get my hopes up for crap. I used to be ever-optimistic about these guys, but first with the VH Mach IV tour w/o Mikey, and now this HOF abomination, I've had it.

Nobody has said anything about the band breaking up. If Dave's getting along with the Lying Dutchmen, then the band's still together. Not currently active, perhaps, but still a unit. As I said in some other thread, if there was an intervention to get Eddie to realize he needed help, then I would bet Dave & Alex planned it together. And as I also said before, they should be handling the business end of Van HALEN while Eddie takes his "time out" to keep the band's name out there.

God knows after this clusterfuck of a night, their work is cut out for them.
