that's got a major "holy sh*t" factor to it! unbelievable...

i wonder though, how do they know who's going to use meth down the road? are these people who were convicted for something else, got a mug shot, and then got caught for something again at a later date?

King has started asking meth addicts coming through the booking center if they would be willing to be interviewed on video for his prevention project.

Most say no, but a few shared tragic and desperate tales that King plans to weave into his presentation. He pulled one of the videotaped interviews up on his computer screen. The man, in his late 30s, is Cobey Kempre. He and King went to Troutdale's Columbia High School together.

Kempre talks about the day he was tweaking on meth and thought bugs were burrowing into his skin. He kept scratching at them. Covered in blood, he went to his parents' house for help.

He gave them tweezers and a magnifying glass, but his parents told him they couldn't see anything.

"My dad broke down in the front yard," Kempre says in the video. "He knew what was going on."

That is seriously crazy and makes me thankful I avoided drugs all together while growing up, and present day for that matter. One common trend I noticed was they all had sores or open wounds. Is that a side effect of the drugs or did they get caught after being being in a fight? I honestly don't know what meth does, only the basics of what is in it so I am not making light of the pictures, I am just honestly curious.

I can't speak for sure but I think the sores are a result of the drug use. Something to do w/ the immune system maybe?

    Sad situation regardless.

When Crack came out, I thought that there would never be a worse drug. Then Meth became huge and I don't know what to think.

The thing is that Meth users were destroying the country piece by piece and they are ruining the quality of life for all of us.

    How?

Meth is in common use amongst big-rig truckers, just yesterday a tweaker lost control of his rig in heavy fog near my home. Unfortunately he lived. A few years back a tweaking driver slammed his big-rig hauling boulders into a line of stalled cars, killing 11 people which included the destruction of an entire family from 8 months to mom and dad. The fucker was so high he was yelling at the dead people when the CHP got there. He showed no remorse when he got six life terms. You and I are in our little cars on the same roads with these monsters. Also, everyone on this board pays more in auto insurance. Their Meth habit is costing us money out of our own pockets.

Meth heads are the leading cause of burgleries, both home and business. We pay again with higher home-owner insurance and then pay yet again when we go shopping as higher business insurcance and loss due to theft is factored into our bill.

Between higher insurance rates and higher retail costs, Meth heads cost every American around $2000 per year. What could you do with an extra $2000? Shit, we could all have 54 inch HDTVs right now.

I haven't even mentioned the fact that the worst and saddest crimes committed in the last 16 years can be traced to Meth.

    True story:

A mobile home up in Santa Clara burned to the ground with the mother and her two toddlers inside. Mom had crashed after a 3 day marathon of Meth and fell asleep holder he cigarette. The bed caught on fire and the smoke from the mattress suffocated the kids, mobile homes only take ten minutes to burn.

    True story:

Two toddlers , ages two and one and a half, got nailed by a speeding freight train as they stood on the tracks. When the police went to the mother's house they couldn't wake her up because she had crashed after a 48 hour Meth high. Now the bitch is sueing Southern Pacific.

I can do this all day.

I is my opinion that Meth should get a special status. A special status that allows police to shoot anybody with a sellable amount of Meth in their possession - on th spot. Those convicted of a SECOND offense related to Meth should be put to death, right there in the court house basement by firing squad. Those that sell it, make it and use it should all be exterminated.

I haven't even gotten into the environmental and health hazards of producing Meth.

    I don't see the problem.
Sammy did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it.

    Here's another story:

He had this guy check in, paid cash. For the rest of the night strange people and strange cars pulled in and out of our parking lot with strange people going in and out of the room and others standing around talking in cell phones.
For some reason, our night auditor was oblivious to all of this and the next moring the guy extended his stay one more night. So that next day there are even more creepy people coming around and more cars coming in and out. The relief auditor was on that night and figured it out and when the guy came down to extend for another night we told him we wanted him out and that if he gave us trouble thepolice would be called. The guy left.

The room was trashed. They litterally clogged the toilet and shower with shit. There was vomit in various places and there was evidence of cooking Meth, which means God only knows what they flushed into the sewer and into the Monterey Bay (hey, who want's sea food?). It cost us almost $500 bucks to clean the room. Guess what? This is common in budget and not so budget motels and hotels across the country, these are the same rooms you and you family stay in.

    Here's another one:

One of our local characters is a young man I'll cal Chris. Chris is maybe 23 years old, looks 40 and is homeless. He admits to being a Meth Addict. So he "Works" the city every night pushing a shopping cart and digging through trashcans for plastic bottles and aluminum cans. He actually fills that cart up every night, getting around $75 in recycle money, which he uses to by Meth. Durring the cold snap, we bought him some warm ski pants (on sale for $20 at Big 5) so he wouldn't freeze to death. He sold them for Meth. He did actually keep the Reeboks we bought him for Christmas, which was smart. We've told him that if he worked as hard at getting clean as he does - EVERY NIGHT - picking up bottles and cans that he'd be okay. He just smiles and says that he just doesn't want to kick the stuff. Here's a young man who has an amazing work ethic (he actually has a schedual that he busts his ass to keep every night) that he could be a successful business person but is trapped by Meth.

If he's still alive in two years I will be suprised.

Meth is very dangerous. It's very addictive and less than flattering for your appearance.

The government would like for you to think they have your interests at heart. They don't.

Sure, Deputy Billy Joe Bob at the local police station probably has his heart in the right place. Not always, but most times.

However, the war on drugs is about money and taxes.

Drug dealers don't pay taxes on what they make.

This makes the government VERY upset.

Its really as simple as that.

Pharmaceutical companies are pushing very dangerous, addictive drugs, with the government's blessing. The FDA is bought and paid for.

Unfortunately, Dale Bob Ray Jr., don't have them there lobbying dollars to get votes in DC to further his agendy. Pfizer and Eli Lilly have that ability.

Just watch the ads on slave-o-vision. More potential side effects from Cialis that a joint. Yet, Mary J. is evil and wrong. Why?!?! Because NOT paying taxes on that joint is far worse than having boner-potential for 36 hours. (OK, bad example) but you git what i be saying........

    And, before you ask....

    No, I'm not high!!!
