This is my latest recording: https://michaelwilliamandersen.bandc...bleeding-73-13
It was made last week. Mixing it was a hair raiser and I pretty much drowned my guitar out but, I like it and must have played it 30 times already. I recorded the guitar track on it in 2013 and think I sound quite a lot like Elton. When I drove a taxi in Laguna Hills, passengers told me that I looked like Elton.
I met a band (Jynx) with a van in San Francisco in the seventies. They left me at the scene of our second performance and I had to walk home. This album is called Van Hailin' because Jynx seems to be the same band as Van Halen: https://michaelwilliamandersen.bandc...bum/van-hailin
I met Mark Perry in Salt Lake City in 2003 and people there thought he sounded exactly like Eddie Van Halen. I let him play my guitar but he wasn't interested in making recordings or playing at Downtown Studios in Salt Lake.

Not sure how doing that is even legal.

Are you paying royalties for all those songs you are using?
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

"Soul Food" and "Tree House!" Those are definitely his thing. The bass playing on "Soul Food" is slippery and great. It sounds like somebody knows what they're doing.

"Vibrations" was very early Pink Floydian.

I absolutely love Bandcamp. That's the new iTunes, I think. I want to make my own EP to go up there even though probably no one will listen to it but me.

Thanks so much for checking it out ArtyBoy! He is very talented (I’m biased of course). He is playing out around the Ft. Collins Co. and south Wyoming area, if you are around that area, check him out.

    That's some cool stuff!
I hear more than a bit of Vai and Gilbert influence, in terms of outside the box shapes/riffs/layering etc. Not to mention a sense of humor.

I mean all that as a compliment!

I’ve always thought there was a touch of Vai in his writing/playing too. He is very talented. Thanks so much for listening.

Thanks for sharing, and tell your son 'Good Luck' with the EP getting exposure and support/fans!

He plays all the instruments on the EP except the sax on “Chandler”.

I’m a big fan of Bandcamp too! Lets you get your stuff out there, and possibly make a few bucks off of it.

Thanks again for listening, and your feedback.
