Is There Such A Thing As "Free Dial-up" Service?

Yup, shoot me, I'm PC illiterate. When "just starting out" with a PC (provided by a dear friend, it has Windows 98), is there a reliable way to get internet access free of charge through dial up?

Trust me, my ex-wife used to handle this stuff for me. As a result, I really do not wish to call her for this, (let alone even imagine the thought of actually speaking to her for any reason ) so I'm asking you folk.

    Any advice/assistance/clues would be welcomed.

I used to wonder why he was grinning all the time(Michael Ian Black talkin about EVH on VH1 I love the 80's) but then i realized the reason he's grinning is because he's Eddie F*#king Van Halen

I have no experience with these, but HERE (Click this) is a site with a few options for a free dial up ISP. The trade off for free service is the ads you have to endure, but this should do the trick for you.

Why can't you get a broadband? I had it back in bloody Lithuania, now here in the UK I don't know anybody without at least an unlimited 2k connection, including those of senior generation. What's up there in SoFlo craig ?

I don't know about free chef, but you could surely find something for $7-8/month. In the past I've also seen ads for AT&T DSL for $12/month.

    It's not free, but it's only $10.00/month...

Sometimes AOL and other companies have those 3 month free deals, sign up for one then cancel it at the end , then try another trial offer from someone else...or sign up again under another name or something..My exes brother had it free for like a yr. pulling that shit...but that was a few yrs. ago..
