I know we have different opinions on this, but what do you think makes for a better concert experience?

ARENA all the way, the sound is better.

The smaller the better. More intimate.
If eddie were down and out on a sidewalk playing guitar I'd be next to him with a bottle and a blanky braving the cold. I would be sucking my thumb happily making chupa chupa noises in sync with the petroglyphic sounds that came from the mighty finger tips of Edward Van Halen.

Yup and, except for a few major metropolitan areas, they're not going to fill arenas anyway.

They probably won't hit Houston but if they do I'm guessing they'll play the Woodlands Pavillion. That said, I'd rather catch them at the Verizona Wireless theater...that place is fantastic as a concert venue. I'm there no matter where they play, but I would prefer they not play some giant 15000 seater...

H-Town should definitely be on the list - 4th largest city in the US. 2004 tourstop at the Toyota Center was great. Would like to see it there again

For me, if you are going to a Van Halen show, nothing is better than a Saturday night in the summer, outside, with a nice cold one and listening to the greatest rock and roll band of all time.

    So, shed.

    An arena...

To me it "feels" more like a concert than a shed. You don't have to worry about the weather, its usually louder and Van Halen is the definition of an arena band...

That being said, the girls will have on less clothing outdoors...hmmm

I haven't stepped foot in the toyota center yet...is it as nice as I hear? Was it better than the Summit? Concerts at the Summit were real toss ups...Billy Joel and Springsteen were great...Motley was good too...but Page and Plant felt like we were in a cave...

I hate to say this but I would like to see them inside. Camden, NJ Tweeter Center is nice venue but the city is horrible.

Alot of times it seems that I've had a better time at a shed. Besides, The Shoreline Amp here in Mountain View Ca. is one of the best places to catch a show...
