Ed Talks shop in New Guitar World

I just got home with my new guitar world and inside is a whole lotta EVH interview and cool pictures of old and new and some I've never seen before. Has anyone else got their copy yet? I love all the guitar and amp talk! I don't have a computer, so no idea about the cd rom yet. Should be cool though. Ed look much better inside than on the cover. ( I know, I know, that's a given right?)

There's no CD-ROM with my issue, so I pose this question: WTF?

The cd rom has an 18 minute interview with Ed discussing his new, insanely overpriced (msrp $25,000-30,000) "frankie" replica. it also has Buckethead, a tapping mega lesson with Andy Aledort and a bunch of new gear. Your Guitar World should have come with the cd rom and card board insert ( explaining the contents. )

I got hosed. The magazine came in plastic wrap, but no CD-ROM or cardboard insert. Fuck.

I picked up my copy at Barnes and Nobles. I was supposed to get in the mail with my New Subscription
to GW, but the lady on the phone said I missed the deadline for this issue....and this was back in early december! Just pick up another copy and put one away for safe keeping and keep one out for enjoying. Yes, I am a collector nerd. Man, the section on tapping is pretty extensive.

So you've got the magazine, what's the deal on the "new bassist", or "band", or whatever else is being teased on the cover?

    Anything?

Thanks for the reminder. I must remember to pick up a copy. But yeah, what about the bassist?

After having read all the EVH stuff in the new GW, I say this: Over-hyped. There's the new brand, 'EVH,' manufactured and distributed by Fender, Wolfie is jamming with Ed and Al and he reminds Ed of "Jack Bruce," they had to go to eBay to find a bunch of 1971 quarters, and Ed never modified his Marshalls.

No more talk. I want music.
