I go the traditional Classical route with Handel, Mozart and such.
Just avoid anything with Chipmunks, Grandma references, or dogs barking it tune.

Also, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts do a pretty bad ass version of , The Little Drummer Boy.

some pretty good choices, but this one is pure heresy!

I don't think anyone's mentioned "Holly Jolly Christmas" by Burl Ives; "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" by Andy Williams; "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee; "I'll Be Home For Christmas" by Johnny Mathis; and though not technically a Christmas song, it's become associated with it: "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" by Dean Martin

You can buy Chris Cornell singing Ave Maria on iTunes, it's not a great instrumental rendition, but it def shows off his voice...

I like the goofy ones, like the Chipmunks, Burl Ives' You're a Mean One Mister Grinch, etc...anyhthing is better than the Manheim Steamroller type shit my boss plays, so when it is my turn, I just put on fun stuff, like a lot of the stuff listed here.

also, i can link you to Eve 6 doing The First Noel, which is ok too...

"The Grinch" was sung by an actor named Thurl Ravenscroft.

Heresy it IS NOT! I am well aware that there is a version by the Eagles but that one makes me want to go to sleep. Jon Bon Jovi puts a little passion into the song IMO.

Brian Setzer Orchestra also does a MEAN version of Let It Snow...
