    Twisted Sister!

Definitely not worth starting a new thread on Twisted Sister, but I had to share this video.

Not sure if it's REALLY Dee Snider, but he was on Jim Bruer's SIRIUS Radio show and Dee couldn't verify if it was really him because of legal issues, but he said something like "Did it look like me? Well ok then"

If it's Dee or not, this punk gets owned by a dude in pink pants, so that's worth it in itself:

I have an issue of Classic Rock magazine where they listed the Top 100 Greatest Frontman. They through Dee in somewhere in the top 20 and commented that he's a "mutant Bette Midler". lol

'We're Not Gonna Take It' is a classic anthem and hilarious video! Always liked watching it when I was a toddler. "What is that? I know what that is...that's MUSIC!!!
Bobby Cohn: Who's going to be at Waynestock?
Wayne Campbell: Um, uh...Aerosmith & Pearl Jam!
Garth Algar: Ha ha ha ha ho!
    Bobby: Who else?
    Garth: Uh, me...and...and Wayne...
    Wayne: ...and uh...VAN HALEN!!!
Garth: Wow. Van Halen. Who else?
    Bobby: Yeah, who else?
Wayne: Uh, an old man fashioning a kayak out of a log?

I saw Twisted Sister in 1985 (maybe 1986?) in a sold out Worcester Centrum. That's pretty fucked up....Twisted Sister sold out the Worcester Centrum! It was the Come Out And Play Tour.....great show. Dokken opened for them.

Seen them around the same time (might have been 84')Krokus was the opening act.I was a up front fanatic for that show . Were they a gimmick band? Sure , but they were all energy from the first song to the last.Mark "the

Definitely not '84 if you're talking the Come Out And Play Tour. I saw that show during my senior year in high school ('85-'86). If I had to guess I'd say it was Feb 86...I remember it was fucking freezing that night.

Saw the open for Maiden back in the day. I remember being blown away at the verbal assault of Dee Snider. It was the height of the're (we're not gonna take it) days and there were quite a few younger kids in the audience with parents. He practically cussed us all out. Also saw them this past suimmer at a festival (Speed Street) during race week here in Charlotte. Stephen Pearcy opened up and sounded like shit. The Sisters still kicked ass

I think the Christmas album is nothing short of amazing!!!!!!!! They let you listen to it in its entireity on their website. I think I will definitely buy this, the music is kick ass and Dee Snider I must say sings like he never aged at all, must be his years of being sober and clean have made him sound like new.

I'm shocked as hell to learn Twisted Sister still plays and makes new music. I was huge into these guys in 1984 and remember clearly the World Premiers of those videos off of Stay Hungry. My High School 20 year reunion is Friday night, we should have looked into hiring these guys!

    Twisted Sister's Christmas Record!

    Tunes: Twisted Carols - Dee-lightful
    -- Wayne Parry
    -- The Associated Press

    November 28, 2006

The words "clever," "intelligent" and "groundbreaking" have seldom appeared in critics' assessments of Twisted Sister, but that's exactly what this 11-song collection is. The quintet melds classic Christmas tunes with their favorite heavy metal songs to create a disc like no other.

For instance, the band plays the backing music for We're Not Gonna Take It, while Dee Snider sings O Come All Ye Faithful. The result is an instant holiday classic.

I'll Be Home For Christmas, a duet with Lita Ford, is set to the music of Twisted's The Price, and the band's Rock And Roll Saviors morphs into Let It Snow.

Other bands also get the treatment: AC/DC's Problem Child becomes Silver Bells, Judas Priest's You've Got Another Thing Comin' becomes I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, and Black Sabbath's Never Say Die and War Pigs are blended into Deck The Halls and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.

The one original track, Heavy Metal Christmas, is a Twisted interpretation of The Twelve Days Of Christmas ("Four quarts of Jack, three studded belts, two pairs of spandex pants, and a tattoo of Ozzy.")

This is, quite simply, the best hard rock Christmas album ever made, and one of the best rock 'n' roll Christmas albums -- period -- since Elvis made his. It's THAT good.

Can't wait to hear this, sounds inspired!
