I can't imagine that a guy with such extreme technique, can't even muster
    some raunchy pentatonic licks.

    Maybe it's psychological.

even if he hasn't played since VVI broke up, playing guitar is like riding a bike. He might be a bit rusty for a few weeks but then he'd be back to some killer playing.

The funny thing is, he was also well versed in chicken picking' and stuff in the country music style, as well as bluesy stuff. He doesn't even necessarily need to come out and shred. I mean, I get that part. I'm nowhere near as fast as I was when I was in my 20's and my style has changed dramatically. It's to be expected. He could play something. Anything. Instead we get nothing.

That's why I think he's sick. Not necessarily mentally like everyone is saying. I think maybe he has a physical ailment like AIDS or a muscle disorder or something like that.

    Could be.

I'm looking at some old Kiss footage, and he was really fucking good.

Then they have a solo album thing, made to look like the KISS solo albums,
but with a painting of his character, and his singing was top notch.

I don't understand how suddenly he's this novice, awkwardly strumming along.

Yeah, he did some Country sessions.

He was like the original John 5, of the late 70's/early 80's.

Pretty clear footage for the time. HUGE CROWD.

I remember this video. I own it on both VHS and DVD formats. Great gig - the band was on fire.

Wasn't this show the last one with them using makeup back then? I can't say for sure.

COTN was a huge comercial success here and it was the 1st time Kiss came to Brazil!!

I like this riff...not sure I haven't heard it in another song though...seems familiar.

The studio version is thinner than the live cut...on the riff

I've been a Kiss-fan since the millennium, and I was born in 1996.
Kiss and Michael Jackson were my first favourite artists in music.
Sam & Dave are equally as good.

Michael Schenker borrowed it for his first solo album, post UFO.

I saw a Kiss tribute band, Strutter. They put on a good show. Their fake Paul Stanley sounds better than the real one.

The tribute bands usually have a great Gene and a whacked out Paul.

I used to see a band called Strutter back in the 90s. Probably not the same one
