I remember him on Mike Douglas . Seems like yesterday.

I know this is out of left field and am sure it was discussed before...but why is their comeback album, Psycho Circus, not a an actual comeback album? Meaning why was the original band only playing together on 1 song? Ace and Peter were THAT bad? I can't believe that. I know they've messed with that in the past in the late '70s or whatever, but this was to be a comeback album.

And why in the hell does not either album cover version of Creatures of the Night show the correct band?

    They're so weird.

They have been doing that since the Mid-1970s. Dick Wagner coming in on guitar for Destroyer. Bob Kulick on Guitar for ALIVE II Side 4. Anton Fig on Drums for Dynasty and Unmasked. Bob Kulick on Killers. Ferris, Mitchell, Ford, Vincent and maybe even Bruce Kulick on Creatures...haha!!!!

Also, yeah..... Peter in 1998..... a little rough. Ace could play, but other factors there. Paul claims Ace and Peter were trying to re-negotiate deals. Ace and Peter claims they were being forced out of the process. Band was a bit of a mess...haha...

    PSYCHO CIRCUS (1998)
Psycho Circus - Bruce Kulick on bass
We Are One - Paul Stanley on bass; Gene Simmons on guitar
I Finally Found My Way - Bruce Kulick on bass; Shelly Berg on acoustic piano; Bob Ezrin on Fender Rhodes
I Pledge Allegiance - Bruce Kulick on bass on chorus
Within - Bruce Kulick on backwards guitar intro
You Wanted The Best - Ace Frehley on guitar solo
Dreamin' - Bruce Kulick on rhythm guitar
Journey Of 1,000 Years - Shelly Berg on acoustic piano

** It's pretty obvious that there are other players on the album, mainly Tommy Thayer (providing the majority of lead guitar) and Kevin Valentine (drums). The only song the original four members play on is "Into The Void"...

    Also:
Ace Frehley – lead guitar and vocals (on tracks 4, 6 and 11)
Peter Criss – drums (on track 4), vocals (on tracks 6 & 8)

The guitarist from Mr. Mister was also on the Creatures album, Steve Farris (not exactly sure the name).

All those guys really did a great job, coming in & doing justice to the tunes.
Creatures is a great, lost KISS album.

I love that it has a strong connection to 70's Kiss and 80's Kiss.
It's this weird bridge of both sounds.

Lick it up, was full on 80's.

I'm pretty sure Bob Kulick recorded the guitar solo for Danger on COTN. That tune smokes! One of my all time favourite songs.

But I can't say if Bruce was there. Kiss has these things like forever.

I think that's his name correctly, my friend. From what I remember reading, he's the one who recorded the guitar solo for on COTN, the tune.

That is why I put the "HAHA", because it is very unlikely (Bruce didn't join until 84).... But I have seen crazy rumors that Bruce may have played ALSO on COTN just due to his connection with his brother Bob...... It is all just rumor though. They had so many guys coming in and out of the studio during the COTN sessions.

Ace wasn’t even in the band when they recorded Creatures. With all the shit going on at that time it’s a miracle they got a great album out of it.

The guy is a freak but bringing in Vinnie on creatures really brought some renewed energy to their writing.

My old pal Mike Tirelli auditioned and was offered the gig in Invasion as he was putting it together. Came back 3 days later and said he quit the guy was too insane. I was like are you high Mike, you got nothing going its a huge opportunity how crazy could he be. Fast forward years later, yeah Mikey was right. I think the gig then went to Friedman and then Slaughter
