Default Just an "Old Timer" newbie

    Well,

after lurking for a while I have decided to register and get on this forum. It feels a little weird as I was an old time, long time contributor to "The List" the old VH mailing list. I was on that way back in the Cornell Days, I think back in about 93, pre Sandra Seino.

I am assuming that htis forum is it's latest incarnation. Are there any survivors from those days here? I remember Grant Fisher, Rob (Rex) Jackson, top Jimmy, Mahler, Bill O'Neill, Bill Broadway and maybe a few others ( Like vavh). I very (too) briefly met rob and a couple of others back in 97 when VH came down to Australia.

Any of those guys still here?

I don't think any of those people post here, I know Maya used to post here from the mailing list but I haven't seen her in a long time. I used to be...or still am...part of the VHML.

1993?? Damn, so there actually was a VH online zoo before I stumbled in?

As far as the old timers you mentioned, Grant Fisher posted over at www.rotharmy.com a few weeks back. He's not online often, and of course, he sold the Van Halen News Desk long ago. Haven't seen Rex Jackson or Bill O'Neill online in years, so they either adopted new identities or bailed out entirely. There's about 100 "Top Jimmy's" around, so I couldn't begin to guess which one you mean, and I'm not familiar with the others you mentioned.

What's left of "the old guard" - at least the 1996-2000 years - either post here at VH Links, at the Roth Army, or both. So you might want to check in over there as well. There are a few Aussies over there, BTW.

    Thanks for the welcome guys,

Shame there are none of the old guys still here....but with the current status of VH, it's not really surprising. I just dropped in out of interest and then the whole EVH spiral became apparent and I have been drawn in like a watching a car crash.
