I've been listening to the new album from Algiers, The Underside Of Power. You hear influences from punk, soul, and gospel.

Only took me 4.5 years, lol. The only time I've heard it before was when I pulled up YouTube videos for each of the songs while sitting in a darkened empty office building in the Bay Area back in 2012. Wasn't impressed. Sounds a little better on my CD player, but still, another one of those albums that could've been pared down (and I'm only talking about the 15 tracks on the main CD - have three more on a second disc). And so couldn't the "thank you"s - note to whomever put the book together - if all five band members thank an individual, that can go under "Aerosmith thanks..." instead of being listed under each band member's grouping. Almost through the main programme...

Stumbled across these guys a few days ago. It's my new favorite band name, Low Cut Connie. They play a swinging bluesy piano driven rock.
I'm really liking this album, Dirty Pictures (Part 1).

Yesterday I was blaring cd-r bootlegs of VH 1977 News Years at the Whiskey, and Rockin' My Home Town from the Pasadena Civic Center.

I think later today will be Dokken's live Beast from the East cd.

I threw in Limp Bizkit for shits and giggles over the weekend. Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.

    Jesus...they suck.

Can't believe I bought that album at the time.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Has there ever been a "gayer" album title?

With me waxing poetic about music I was listening to in college in the late 80's got me to play one of the popular albums on campus. Violent Femmes first album.

Funny how I didn't know of its existence until I go to college. Still have all the lyrics memorized. Still holds up for me
