    Default Kramer "1984" Guitar

I looking into buying a Kramer 1984 guitar off of MusicYo.com, although I've never played one, and know so little about it. Could those of you who own, have owned, or played tell me if it's worth buying, or should I look into buying something different?
    I'm cool.

Check out Mean Street Guitars before you decide for sure on a 1984 Music Yo. Not saying anything for/against the MusicYo stuff, but you owe it to yourself to check out what they've got over there.

I have one and think it is a great guitar. I got mine off ebay directly from MusicYo, they used to sell blemished ones that way, for $499 about two years ago. There was nothing wrong with mine.

Prices have gone way up since that time, I think they are around $850 now for a new one on their site, I think I would look at something else for that kind of money.

I used to own a 1984. The neck is great, it's put together well and the original (real) Floyd Rose is awesome. The only thing that I didn't like about it was the pickup: it sounded very weak compared to my Wolfgang. Aside from that, it's a nice guitar. For an extra $100-$150 for a good pickup, it's a great guitar.

Mean Street Guitars have some good stuff for great prices. Have you ever order any guitars from there?

I have nothing against Mean Street guitars and have heard nothing but good things, but if your intent is to build a 5150 replica, the 1984 is much more accurate IMO.
